After the murder of her well-known sister Summer by the Sweetly Slasher in Sweetly, Minnesota, in 2003, ambitious student Lucy Field has felt an enduring void in her life. Although she never truly knew her sister, two decades later, Lucy and her parents honor Summer's memory on the anniversary of her death by dining at Olive Garden and paying their respects. This time, however, Lucy is mysteriously transported back to 2003. In this alternate reality, she encounters a living Summer and must work to prevent her sister and others from being killed by a masked murderer.
