We’ll look at how Trent’s distinction between “initial” and “final” justification creates serious tension with Paul’s teaching in Romans 4 and Ephesians 2, and how later in the same video he appears to contradict his own categories altogether. We’ll also clarify what Protestants actually mean by saving faith, obedience, perseverance, and why James 2 does not teach a works-based justification.
