Watchin the skyline back at the ranch
from Poetry by Tim Windisch · host Tim Windisch
Watchin the skyline back at the ranch So many moons have revolvedSince our friendships evolvedBack when silly was funnyThunderstorms were sunnyWatchin the skyline back at the ranchBikes and cars long before the barsIn the fields underneath the starsKnew nothing so we had no caresLaughter, dancing while the radio blaresWatchin the skyline back at the ranchRide that raft down the raging streamTougher than anything joined as a teamYou strayed hard right and I’m all that’s leftDo you drown those days clanging weights you heftCan’t see the skyline from a crooked branchTake me to the river, take me so far backStill water reflecting smiles, not even a crackStop making waves just listen to your heartBring it back together don’t keep ripping it apartAnd we’ll be watchin the skyline back at the ranchTim Windisch6 8 2026
