Waterloo Records

from how did i get here? · host johnny goudie

Hello friends and welcome to episode 1501! Austin's legendary Waterloo Records has been in the news a lot this year since John Kunz, who owned the store for over 40 years, sold it and the new owners are moving the Austin music hub up the street to a bigger and better location. Today I am joined by John Kunz and the new owners of Waterloo Records, Caren Kelleher, CEO of Gold Rush Vinyl and Austin entrepreneur, Trey Watson to talk about the history and future of Waterloo Records. This episode was also our first video episode and was live streamed on Monday in a partnership with Austin's state-of-the-art livestream concert venue and production studio, Purple Bee! Watch the video HERE. Find out more about Purple Bee at purplebee.org. Find out more about Waterloo Records at waterloorecords.com. I want to thank the gang at Purple Bee for such a great experience and the Waterloo Records team for their time and insight. Let's get down! Follow us on Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or anywhere you pod. Send someone the gift of Johnny with Cameo.   If you feel so inclined.
