While out hunting near Twisp, WA, with his muzzleloader, Wayne found himself caught in heavy snowfall. Seeking shelter, he ducked under a fir tree to check his powder and gear, only to look up and see something shocking—a massive figure standing atop a cliff overlooking the creek, exactly where he had been standing just 30 minutes earlier. At first, he thought it was another hunter. But as he observed, he quickly realized this was no person. Taking a moment to look down and check his gear, he glanced back up—and the figure was no longer on the cliff. Instead, it was now directly in front of him, just 20 feet away, squatting down and drinking from the creek using its hands. Completely unaware of Wayne’s presence, the creature moved naturally in the wild, as if it had done this countless times before. Then, suddenly, the moment shifted. The Sasquatch slowly lifted its head, locking eyes with Wayne, its gaze piercing through the falling snow. It stood up, never breaking eye contact, before turning and sprinting up the creek, disappearing into the wilderness within mere dozen strides.
