Wattie Watson: Professional Firefighters' Union National Secretary on the policy announcements to reset, review Fire and Emergency NZ

Firefighters are welcoming policy from across the political spectrum, but insists action is needed now.  National's made an election promise to do away with the Fire and Emergency board and make it directly accountable to the Emergency Management Minister.  On the other side, Labour’s promising an independent review of the organisation's funding and operations.  Professional Firefighters' Union National Secretary Wattie Watson told Mike Hosking proper management is still desperately needed.  She says leaders are running rampant, there's no confidence in them, and no trust they're giving proper information.  LISTEN ABOVE See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
