In the dead of night, as people sleep, that is when the spirits creep. As the bell tolls three, dark things take power. We like to call it the supernatural hour. Hey, welcome to the supernatural hour.

This is your host, Raven. I'm Chad. I'm Whiskey. This is Moun.

And it is officially December, and I'm so excited for so many reasons. One Christmas, that's obvious, too. I am one final and one research paper away from you done for the semester. And then won't have to go back in until January-ish?

Yes, and then I'll be done all the way done, all the way done in May. But Christmas, let's talk about Christmas for a minute. Christmas? Do you guys have your decorations up yet?

Heck yeah. Two weeks- I bought new Christmas lights for the Christmas tree. They're cool. For my mom and they're pretty awesome.

Hey, I can back and draw my Christmas lights on however I want to end my new crazy enemy. So I'm still on that. Yeah, you send us a video. And when I first saw the video, I thought that those lights, they're out because they're only shining up on the top and bottom.

And then the top and bottom faded out, and then it was like swirly in the middle. And I was like, oh, Whiskey has done his magic with Christmas lights. Yeah, they're pretty cool. I actually got one sale, so they're $70 for 99 feet.

And this is pretty cool. Gave me some ideas for some paranormal equipment while I was looking at it. So I'm thinking we might hear about that later. Yeah, maybe not.

We could say. So we'll talk about investigations a little later in the show. But until then, we just suggest you spend time with your families. We're still talking about moving it up sometime before we have our first public event of 2025, which feels a little weird to say.

You know, donate to a food bank or homeless shelter. This time of year, they've got those, you know, sub-persandas or 12 days for Christmas. Angel tree. The angel trees, you know, most of the retail stores.

Just drop some of the boxes, the toys from the top boxes from the rains. I mean, there's stuff this time of year all over the place. So spread a little Christmas cheer outside your family and enjoy time with your family and friends. All right.

Well, I'm going to spend a little time at Otayos because it's delicious. I know we need to go. Yeah. We hotels restaurant in, is it Linden?

Is it Orem? I mean, it's right there on- Linden. It's Linden. On stage three, yeah, they're terrific.

Highly recommended by the advanced paranormal team and it's a supernatural hour. Yeah, in the background. Now we've talked to the owner and for our team, we're trying to get just us to go out to dinner and maybe do some investigating there. I have to have two seconds to- After my final is over, I will call him and see if we can get that scheduled, but there it takes.

He's never been. I drove by it yesterday, no, two days ago and the parking lot was full and it looked like they're doing some kind of event there. So was it Saturday? You want to go early?

The first Saturday of- Two days ago from today. So Saturday, the first Saturday of every month they do a brunch where you don't get to pick your order. It's just you go there and you either get the brunch or you don't go there. And that their brunch is amazing.

It only been once and I didn't know that it was their brunch, but I stayed and it was good. Nice. Alright, so- I do want to give a shout out to all of our patrons and just let you guys know how much we appreciate you and the support that you give us to be able to pay for all of the stuff. We just had a couple of bills come up for SSL certificates and things like that and your contributions really help defray the costs of what we're doing and we're very, very appreciative of that and it makes a big difference on our budget.

Absolutely. Thank you very much. And hopefully you guys got your packages except for Moon. Hers is still sitting in the desk because I'm going to give her hers in person.

Soon. So yes, patrons, we love you. And if you're not a Patreon, there's lots of perks that you get, but one of those perks is bonus episodes. So if you are enjoying these and you want to give even more episodes, become a Patreon because I think we have- we have fun here but we get a little crazy sometimes in those Patreon episodes.

If you want some unhinged rants from me, just don't subscribe to the Patreon. Well, and if you want to hear me mangle the name of the podcast every single time we record, even though we've been recording that for years, yeah come give us a listen. Those bonus episodes. All right.

So it is December and it is Christmas. So we have just some kind of Christmas-y podcast for you. So the first one is called Vavil Castle and the Christmas Dragons Den. It almost sounds like a kid story, doesn't it?

Yeah. I mean arguably some people say it as a kid story. True. True.

So Vavil Castle is actually in Akao, Poland. So there's going to be a lot of Polish names and I do not speak the Polish. So if you do or are aware of it, please forgive me of anything. Have to give some kudos to Moon because she's the one that told us that it wasn't Wabil Castle.

It's a vaudel castle, which sounds a lot better actually. Think about Wabil. I wanted to sound smart. You sound smart without looking up Fang's Moon.

I don't know. But I don't know if you called it Wabil Castle. That makes it sound a little more kid story-ish. You know, like I can't say my arse or something.

Does it sound like it's from like down south of Wabil Castle? Right. Something from Forrest Gump. So it is, like we said in Poland, it's on a hill.

The castle's on a hill called Wabil Hill. Oh, I see. I just did it. Ahhh.

Ohhh. Wabil Hill. And it's actually out of Jurassic limestone. It was formed about 150 million years ago.

And this is the hill, not the castle. And it's about 228 meters above sea level. And it's one of the more dominant features in the area. It's quite patrisc and a lot of people go there, not for the paranormal aspect, not for the dragons den that we're going to talk about, but just because it's beautiful.

It's on the bank of the Fistula River. And it's got a lot of water around it, a lot of marshes. And it's been a safe haven for people since the Paleolithic period. And a lot of people have inhabited it.

There's stories as far back as the First Millennium. It's ancient and old and we could talk history forever, but this is not a history podcast. So moon, you look up, it was Wabil Castle. So what did it do?

It did. The castle itself. So the castle was built at the left of the Vistula River. And it has an Italian-styled courtyard.

It represents nearly all European. That's a hard word to say sometimes. Architectural styles of the medieval Renaissance period. Some of its oldest stone buildings go back to 970 BC.

The castle also has Roman and Gothic style architecture to it, which were some of the earliest examples of those structures in Poland. So I was looking at it and I noticed it had a beautiful red roof, but what really caught my eye was there's on some of it has a green roof, which I was like, that's probably copper. So I looked it up and it is copper that oxidized to the greenish beautiful color that it is. So that's kind of some fun facts about the architecture there.

It's built of numerous buildings of great historical importance, and it's also grounds for the Wabil Cathedral, where Polish monarchs were crowned and buried. The castle was mainly built in the 14th century, and in 1930 it also became the country's premier art museum, and the 20th most visited art museum in the world. Most monarchs have lived in it since about the 11th century. Now, did I read somewhere correctly where at one point it was used as a hospital in World War II?

Or parts of it was used as a hospital in World War II? That'd be. Hey, I thought I had read that somewhere. While you were talking, I was scrolling through some of the places that I'd done some research, and I can't find that again.

Yes, right here. So Poland lost its independence in 1795 for a while, and there were three nations that did beat it out, Russia, Prussia, and Austria, and the Austrians took possession, and they took the castle and they converted it and a few of the secular buildings in the area into military hospitals, including several of the churches. So, anyway, it was a hospital for a short period of time. That's cool.

I'm glad I found that because I knew I thought either I read that somewhere or I'm getting it mixed up, but getting it mixed up right now in my life would really not be out of the realm of possibilities, because I'm barely holding things together mentally right now. I'm looking at my home worksheet. I literally have four things left, so I can do this. Gendly!

Now, the cave or the castle actually has a cave associated with it and some other interesting stuff, and I know whiskey, you were mentioning something about this earlier. I would argue that the cave has a castle since it was our first, but you know. True. You have a point.

Yeah, it has a cave underneath the castle. One cool thing is if you guys hear us talking about it, if you go onto Google Maps, you know, how you can kind of drop yourself wherever they've done streets, if you zoom in onto this, you can actually drop yourself onto a path that you can go into the cave on Google Maps and look around. So, if you're interested in what we're talking about, I was like, pictures everywhere. Yeah, just right, like right on Google Maps, you can just drop it in your browser.

So, I had to go maps. I was looking up a lot of pictures of it, and some of them were dark, obviously it's a cave and everything, and then I was like, oh, let me just go look at the area because like it was described a big limestone hill. So, I just want to see what it looks like from outside. I mean, yeah, you can walk in.

It's really well lit. You do it with VR. That would be awesome. Maybe.

We ought to try. Right? Try it later. I've got Google in the VR.

We're going to do this. There you go. All right, let me climb in. Hello.

What's interesting is like walking through it. It's described as a place that had a bunch of rooms, kind of times that was used as a brothel and urn. Is of course, after a dragon was slain, but it did say some price of many rooms. There's some brickwork down there, some staircases and things.

I'm not too sure what the rooms used to look like, especially if it was a tavern in a brothel. I feel like there might not have been a lot of privacy, but also was the medieval time. So, who says that they can't be the same thing, you know? But it's really cool.

It's definitely worth just going and clicking through and walking in and seeing because it's just seeing a cave underneath this massive structure is just kind of wild to think about. And then I don't know about you guys whenever I go to underground areas from the past. It's always just crazy to think people were just walking around down here. That wasn't the year to go.

That wasn't that crazy. But prior to being used as a cave of un- and quotes, a dragon lived there. Or so the legend says. The legend says not poth.

The legend say not poth. Not poth. I know. Yeah, I know.

I was like, it's going to be about poth. No. So there was a dragon. And this dragon fits the description of any medieval era dragon.

It either eight farm animals or virgins, depending on which version you read. What was in season of the time? Yeah. You know, our virgins season will go for some farm animals.

That's right. If Benjamin Dragon hasn't released a new book, you know, go for farm animals. That's probably why they call it Benjamin Dragon. I don't know.

But essentially, one story goes that if they didn't feed at the amount of animals that it needed, it would go and take an equal amount of people from the city. So it's always interesting. No, this reminded me of it. Reminded me of bugs life because they had to go make offerings.

Yeah. The thing about all these dragons are from middle ages too, is they always talk about like, how do they know the number? Your dragons just speak English. They've never come out and say that they speak English, but they're also like, it needs 23 lamb, six cows, and four goats.

Every fourth Thursday. Like, how do you know? There's no way you experimented to get there. You don't really grinds my kids talking dragons.

I'm a little bit skeptical. I think it's probably now. What do we need to feed the castle? You know what?

It started like in beer too. That's probably why they like the gold that a lot of the stories that's for sure. At the end, the demise of that dragon actually came from a boy. Probably a virgin at the time.

So you don't want to get eaten? Yeah, he was probably like, how you got to lose my virginity or kill a dragon? For some people, it's easier to kill the dragon. I'm sure he was a handsome lad.

I don't know. They don't mention in the story. Use your imagination. But he covered a bunch of sulfur in sheepskin and left it out for the dragon.

Now in the dragon, it went and ate that. It gave it just such an insatiable thirst that it went to that little river and just kept drinking until it exploded. That's what killed the dragon. And so the story, it's a story about gluttony in a way.

This dragon was driven in all these negative things based on its own gluttony and in the end, it couldn't control itself even drinking the water, though it killed itself. So it's like a biblical gluttony sin theme, depending on how you interpret that. So I thought that was interesting. And that boy ends up allegedly.

This is of course of which versions you believe. There's a lot of versions and tales related to this cave. And the dragon marries a princess and becomes the king of the castle. Russian.

Who knows if the sacrifice has stopped after he became king, the dragon was dead, but... Maybe there's a really poor castle after that. He's like, wait a second. What do you mean there's no food?

How were we getting it before? Wait a minute. What exploded by the river? It's a really cool story, really cool cave.

Classic dragontail. Absolutely. So how in the world is this a Christmas story? Because did they have a couple of times we're going to be doing some Christmas stuff?

That's a very good question. That's a great question. So we talked about the caves and they've been explored countless times. And whiskey's already full of a bunch about caves.

We know there's a dragon down there. If you go to the castle now, there's actually a dragon statue there. Out in the front, it's actually kind of... I think it's a really pretty statue.

It's eight heads and one of them blows fire. Oh, I didn't know that. It blows fire. Yeah.

See, I was in a dragon decor. I would probably get one, a small one. Not one that breathes fire because that would be weird, but I think it's a beautiful statue. I feel like I need a little mini fire breathing dragon for when we have to burn Polosantor Sage just a little bit of my hand and really add to the environment.

Yeah. Yeah. There are actually a ton of super-natural stories about these caves in this castle. But the one that really caught my eye as I was looking for something that was kind of paranormal in Christmas was about this dragon's den.

And there is a legend about an 11th century fellow named King Kazimier. And he was a child when he went exploring these caves because that's what kids like to do, right? Look a hole that's supposed to be... And he came across this strange tunnel and he found a large stone emitting light.

And he said that through this he got positive energy. And it said that this positive energy kind of just went out and emitted all through Kekau and through Poland. You know, gives everybody peace and happiness and protects them. Doesn't mean you can't go through some tough times because how tough, you know, according to the legends, your time's going to be tougher without this protection.

And so the local legends now say that the ghosts of all of Poland's past kings meet every Christmas. And they go into that tunnel where this stone is with the light and they talk about Poland and they kind of, you know, just mentor each other and decide the fate of Poland. So if you don't like the fate of Poland, Christmas, you need to go over and have a chat with those ghost kings and see if you can get some change going. Or if you like what's going on, leave them to do their thing.

So I think we need to go digging in our caves around our area here and see if we can find the glowing stone of protection. I'd rather find you a lot of stone of a lot of money or something. Hey, maybe they'll protect us from the IRS. I don't know.

Do you want to eat protection from the IRS? Well, like I was mentioning that these caves are made of limestone and when I was watching ghost shows, ghost hunting shows, they say limestone is a huge word. What is the word I'm going to jump for? Practice.

A larger word. Conduct. The light. Yeah, conductor.

Yes, thank you. A conductor of spiritual energy to... Hello. I think I'm the one that can't think of it.

I got a word today. Sometimes I help others, but today I need to help. So there's actually a lot of other really interesting stories and ghost stuff around this gasoline cave. Did you guys read about the dragon bones?

The wagon bones. They hang outside. Yeah, I saw it. I heard they look cool.

They do. So you have to look at pictures because when I heard about this, I envisioned these indoors in a bag. I don't know why I envisioned them in a bag, but I did. But they're just hanging outside on hook.

So there are bones right at the entrance of Vavil Cass. Vavil Cathedral. And they're huge. They're gigantic.

Legends says that they belong to the dragon. And if they fall, the Vavil hill will collapse into the ground and the end of the world will begin. So they're very dedicated to keeping these from falling. They actually have conservators at Vavil Cathedral, whose job is to just take care of these chains.

Now, if you look at them, they're big and you could say, wow, they do look like they could be dragon bones. But in fact, they come from three different animals. I think one was a whale. One was a woolly mammoth.

And I can't remember what the other one was, but none of them were dragon. I don't know. And when I read they theorized that they came from those, but nobody's officially done the test. And if they came from anything like woolly mammoth, or anything could be fossilized.

So it'd just be a rock at that point. So yeah, that is what they say. But it's kind of cool. They're just got this giant chain wrapped around it.

I'm not gonna lie. It is cool, but because I've watched Game of Thrones, when it was like, and the bones are in the cathedral, I was expecting full dragon head. I was like, they actually have a dragon, and they're not going to show it. They're going to be like the arc of the covenant, just behind closed doors.

And we'll see it except for the king. And it's just outside. Big ol, like a rib bone. Yeah.

I was just thinking about the other side of the line vision, like some hanging from the ceiling with some cage around it or something. I don't know, but it's just right there. So yeah. It's better with your bone presentation.

So this is the funniest story I read. Did you run across the talking head story? I did not. Okay.

So one of the most impressive rooms in the vaville castle is the envoys room. And if you go in around the ceiling, there's all these sculptures of tiny heads. There's portraits of nobility and apparently these sculptures are supposed to symbolize the openness of Polish kings to the problems of their people. So it's kind of cool.

So obviously here, there's a lot of audiences to the king, a lot of trials, because this is where the kings would listen to the problems of the people. But if you go in there today, one of the heads does not look like the others because it has a mask over. It's not a mask, but like a gagged with a cloth. So the story behind this goes back to King Sigismund.

And there was an incident with a belt. One of the merchants had sold some very beautiful, decorated belts. The thief came in and stole one of them. And it was noticed that he had stolen one of these.

And so the people in the rooms, there were several started to screen catch the thief. And the villain thought, I'm going to run away. Yeah, this isn't good. And so he threw the belt to the ground and ran away.

And there's this widow that noticed the belt on the ground. And there's a lot of stuff going on. A lot of people there. And she didn't really know what was going on, but she saw this belt and she thought, well, I need to find who the owner of this is.

So she picked up the belt and she was starting to look for the owner. And someone saw her and accused her of being the thief. And she tried to explain and they were just calling on deaf ears. And the woman was brought to the king.

And the king that day was really tired. And he was just listening to the crowd. He didn't even listen to the woman speak. In his mind, she had stolen an item.

So she was guilty, obviously. And so she got a prison sentence. So she was just desperate because she's like, I didn't steal this. I found him.

I'm trying to get it back to the owner. So in desperation, she shouted, if no one wants to stand up for me, let those wooden heads speak at least. And this was just so crazy that the room fell silent. And in the silent room, one of the heads came to life and said, Rex, Auguste, Utica, Oohist.

Excuse me, Glatton. I probably must pronounce that. And he was activated as secret agents. Somewhere, somewhere, a demon has just appeared.

In Latin, that means Judge Fairly King Augustus. And then it fell silent again. So I find this kind of odd that instead of being startled by the statues talking, the king was more offended at the questioning of his sentence. So he sent the people to the market to investigate.

And so the king's envoys, as they're going around asking people what went on, they actually found a lot of witnesses who testified that they had indeed seen the man steal the belt and not the woman, and that they had seen him throw it away. And so the case was discontinued, but the king was annoyed, so he ordered to gag the talking head so that no one would ever interfere with his judgment again. And it's still gagged to this day. Because it talks apparently.

I want to stop the king. I know you don't want a talking head. So it just looks kind of funny. It's just this little man.

He's got these kind of big eyes and nose and clothovers. Now it's hilarious. And there are ghosts in this cathedral. The white lady of the castle.

They're all white ladies. Yeah, one of these. They're Polish. I know.

Well, I'd like to hear about the blue lady of the castle or the green lady. They're all white. The white lady of the castle. How do we know?

Or not? How do we not know if they're all the same lady? Maybe she just travels around. Fair point.

So apparently it's haunted by three ghosts. Oh, sorry. Just tell me about this white lady. What does she do?

So there's actually three ghosts. The first one is Bishop Jen Groot, who was apparently buried in the chapel of St. John the Evangelist. And he just keeps ordering there.

He's not really scary ghost. He haunted the king once for stepping on his grave. Sometimes he will scare tourists who are behaving improperly. You know, if you're being too noisy or being disrespectful.

The other two ghosts are the spirit of Bishop Popple. I'm not even going to try to say where he's from because it's very Polish and I will massacre it. And the other one is Bishop Zawiska. And they're also harmless.

They actually do penance in the cathedral for their to salute lives. And on occasion, they will ask visitors for her prayer. But we're talking about the white lady. So apparently this would be a fourth one.

So people have actually run into her. She is Barbara. Reds of Willy-Nella. Roughly.

We're just going to... We're just going to... We're just going to call her... It's not like a snowboard trick.

No, we're just going to call her Barb. How's that? I like it. I like it.

So she was the wife of the king that got offended with the talking statue. Just so you know. But she died shortly after their wedding, which might have been why he was a grumpy king. And this king loved his wife so much that he wanted to see her again.

And so he gave this task of being able to see her again to his famous master, who again I'm not going to try to pronounce his name. No, we'll give it a shot. Twardowski. And he's the hero of many, many legends in Krakow.

And so apparently he was casting the spell to try to bring the spirit of Barb back. And he told the king, he said, when I cast the spell, do not move when Barbara's ghost appears. This just holds still. But when the king saw the ghost of his wife, he was just so in love.

He just wanted to throw himself into her arms. This... The spell master stopped him, but Barbara disappeared. And so since then the queen's soul is thought to be suspended between the world of the living and the dead.

And so she dispends her eternity strolling while vavil hill at night. Because she's stuck here. Bummer. There's a bell there that they say brings good luck if you bring it.

They say it only beats from an up honor. And they only bring it on certain times of the year. But like the bones, there is a belief that as long as this bell hangs in the Cathedral's tower, Krakow would not be in danger. Apparently the sound of it disperses the clouds.

And like I said before, touching the clapper of the bell brings good luck. So it turns out it's a big bell. Yeah, there's a lot of luck to be had in this area of vavil that you go to the green lights, bells. Well, and just like the bell thing, right?

We use that sometimes to clear out houses and everything. Bell idea isn't just specific to this area. Like that is worldwide medieval times. Like church bells were used to cast out evil and bad things aside from just telling the time and calling in parishioners.

So it's cool to hear that they have specific things for this bell as well. Yeah, so we talked about all the kings meeting down in the dragons den to decide the fate of Poland. There's actually a little bit more to that story. So the chairman of all these kings is Bolslash Shorbri.

I just did not pronounce. I'm so sorry for anybody that's published this was any of this. I am so sorry. He was actually the first crown king of Poland.

And so they meet, but they say that after a while and an unnaturally big night shows up in the chamber. And the night will ask Bolslash, he'll say, is it time, my lord? And Shorbri will say no, not yet. And then that's when everything disappeared.

And then later, an enchanted army will sleep in the Tatra mountains. They're nearby. And when it's time, they will awake and fight a critical moment for the country, which sounds to me a lot like Lord of the Rings. The beacons are lit.

I know. So if you haven't seen Lord of the Rings with the Ghost Warriors, you're missing out. It's also known to be spoiler alert. It's your own fault.

So there's a lot of legends, a lot of ghosts. I think this would be a fun place to go investigate. If there's ghosts, I think it's a fun place to investigate, but this just sounds pretty and tons of history. Beautiful castle.

And old cathedrals and crypts are just crazy to look at. I mean, if maybe, but they're like, the architecture is so beautiful. And like, if you just look up pictures of the crypt, the St. Leonard's grip inside of the cathedral, it's crazy looking at some of the detail just on some of the coffins in general around.

I was actually surprised where it was used as a hospital for a while that there haven't been any, like I couldn't find any mention of any kind of hospital ghosts, nurses or wounded soldiers. I was surprised where it was used as a hospital that there wasn't any mention on the internet of hospital related ghosts like doctors, nurses, wounded men, because it would have been a hospital in the late 1700s, early 1800s. And not that people nowadays, you know, have pleasant injuries and they would be using swords back then, which to me just seems more gruesome. Maybe they were a really good hospital.

Okay. Maybe nobody died. So I don't know. I was also trying to do a research paper today on scientists in ancient Islam.

So maybe I could have dug deeper into hospital ghosts of Poland. But no, if anybody has been there or has a chance to go there, tell us about it. It's an email. I would love to hear about this.

In my opinion, this is probably one of the more interesting places that we've discussed in recent times. It's the one that just, I don't know why it just kind of resonates with me. I want to go here. I want to go to Poland.

Because it's a castle and you're a queen, Raven. I know. I know. And I'm trying to keep it together here.

So I'll take all the positive kudos I can. We're good. All right. So the Whiskey Barrel is sponsored by the Mystic Frog, which is the largest metaphysical store in Utah County.

It's really kind of a cool place to go and check things out. It smells good. Yeah, there got a lot of interesting stuff there. And it's haunted.

It's haunted. It smells good. I always tell them that I show up there. I show up there to hassle them every once in a while.

I'm like, I'm just here to steal the energy and I'm believing. I just went there on that. Yeah, and the owner's awesome. Yeah, we love her.

It's official trainee. No, actually so. She's on our group as a trainee. So she's amazing.

And I'll shout out to all three of our new trainees that we have right now. That's got to be a record of some sort. I know. Well, and that's that thing.

Because they came in on a very slow time. So perfect. I know. The big expectation is low.

We don't get thrown in the depend of the paranormal pool. You get to stick your toes in. It is our slow period, but I do have an investigation that I did. And then I can talk about later.

It's got some interesting spirit box responses, speaking of spirit boxes. Hey, whiskey here in the whiskey barrel. Black Friday came around, Cyber Monday came around. And of course, I was like, you know what I need?

I need more things to build. So I did get a drill press so that I can drill into boxes easier. But probably only matters for Raven because that's what I'm waiting on. Because I didn't want to drill it by hand because it's an old box.

So I got that. But I also got some stuff to build Portal. Have you guys heard of the spirit box portals before? I've heard of them, but not enough that I could explain it to anybody.

Tell us. That's one of the reasons we have you. Because you explained things so well. I don't know if I've said this on the podcast before, but I play the guitar.

Okay. And I have some things around. And apparently I had all but like one or two things that I needed to build a Portal. What is that?

Great question. Before I delve into exactly what it is, one thing that you may have seen me use once or twice. I don't use it very often just because I have to like pull it out, wire everything together, set it up, click a button a bunch of times, just kind of a hassle. But I have like an auto noise canceler for my spirit box.

So we'll cut out all the static. I kind of don't like using it just because. Oh, my cats attacking me. Sorry.

I'm a mom dying. I don't like to use that too much just because the setup is a hassle. And it also completely turns out the static. So I can't actually see or hear how long the cycles are, which is really important to understanding if you just got one radio station that happened to say a word quickly or if it was across multiple stations.

So a portal essentially takes guitar pedals that have effects on them. And it kind of loops a couple that does one that will cut out the static or make it much lesser. So it's not as noticeable. And then another one that just adds a nice reverb onto the sounds that come through.

And the reverb in layman's terms is kind of like an echo, but really, really short. So it's just like you're talking in a bathroom or, you know, in a big cathedral where it's not necessarily like it's not hello, hello, but you can hear it all happening at once around the room. And that helps you hear the word for like a little bit longer that comes through. So I'm excited.

I'm excited to take a look at that and tweak the settings and everything. So all I had to do was just order a new scanning pedal and a couple little adapters. And I will be testing it out with my current Bluetooth speaker. I can just plug it back and plug it in there and it'll be kind of a clunky setup.

And once we confirm it works and we see how it all kind of gives us responses and everything, I will make it into something a little more form functional. And they sell these for like $150 and stuff online. Oh, oh, well, I could buy everything all new for this. On Amazon, like 60 bucks outside of a bike, right?

So the couple pieces I needed to just add to everything I had lying around are on the way. So I got that coming up and about a new three printers. So I guess I'm going to start making other things much faster. So we might just slow them down outside of the lab, but in the lab, we're picking up.

I've got a lot of things on my radar. I just need my work to slow down. So I have the energy post six o'clock to do things. Awesome.

Looks like you good. Good day, job vibes. Maybe we'll test the portal. We're going to have a little movie night about a serial killer coming up.

So I think all the parts will be there. We might get a trial run. We'll see. So by the next podcast, you guys might hear about it.

Hey, Raven. Anything the drunk drawer? I do. I have a doctor which is brought to you by D.S.

He wish performing arts and cultural events center in pace. Just the he wish if you are local in Utah, so you guys ever read haunted stories, haunted books. And we could even say we could even do this for movies because most movies have the story, right? You can't have a movie without some story.

There are some haunted books at a book store near us. That's named after moon. I'm not talking about necessarily that the book is haunted, but just a story about a haunting. Yes, I'm aware of many of those.

Excellent. So those are some of my favorite books and those haunted stories. So there are actually some elements that they go to haunted story. You don't hear what these elements are.

Yes. So first of all, and I know this is going to be shocking. You would never would have thought about this. What did you just miss?

Nothing. Picking my cat. Carry on. I was trying to lipread.

I'm like, whiskey is still done with this already. So the very first thing is you need a haunted person or atmospheric location. I know you never would have guessed that for a haunted book, but you have to have a haunting atmosphere or a haunted person. Usually there's a death because we associate most hauntings with deaths, and this is to bring out the locations to our history.

So far so good. You need some relatable characters because that's a good story element. And in a haunted story, sometimes they're going to have some abilities. Because that can help.

As always, in any good story, you need some conflict. So you're going to have a villain in a haunted story. It could be someone supernatural, alien, and or human. The next thing is you're going to have some scares because a haunted story is something without a few scares, but you've got to make sure that they're balanced because you don't want too much.

You don't want to. You don't want to make sure it's just right. You've got to have Goldilocks, the amount of scares. You could have paranormal detection equipment if needed, if it's pertinent to your story.

Sometimes the best haunted stories are just what happened and darkness. You need the bad stuff to happen at night. So if you are into writing stories, short stories, novels, there's a haunted story. Most haunting start before the paranormal equipment comes out.

We're going to have to verify. Yeah. So I mean, I did say if needed, I don't think every haunted story necessarily needs paranormal equipment because I kind of like just the historical ones. So there's just spooky stuff that happens and everything just all up in the end.

I don't need to investigate it. But if it starts a paranormal equipment, you're a weirdo. I was walking around my grandma's house with a K2 meter. I left my Rempod out at the drive-through.

It's like a series of goosebumps. No, no, it depends on the angle you're going for. Okay, so investigations. The last podcast we told you that we had to in the works, which we did.

I contacted them to get dates and just have not had a chance to hear about from them yet. So when they get in contact with us, we'll get those scheduled and we will let you know how they go. But in the meantime, we'll see. I want to hear about your investigation.

What did she love to? First, if you're listening, go subscribe to the Patreon. So I had a friend that came to town and while they were here, they wanted to go go sunny. This is actually the same friend that sent us the haunted object.

The dog thing. The dog thing. Yeah. So I was like, yeah, I can take a ghost, I know a place.

My grandma's house. They really liked their spirit box and they had experiences with it at the haunted museum where they have a recording and you can hear this man's voice coming through, which my friend claims is Ted Bundy. I don't know if his or his voice does sound similar, but of course, it's whatever you make of it when it comes to the paranormal world. There's no proving right or wrong there.

But at my grandma's house, we know the voices that come through. We've been there plenty of times. We get activity every time. We hear our voices.

We hear a couple of different guys. We hear a girl. I've never heard this guy before. It was the same exact tone as the person that was in her recordings coming through the spirit box in the basement.

And I was like, and this was my spirit box, not hers. Like, my spirit box was doing. I was like, that's weird. I've never heard that voice before.

And it sounds exactly like that person. And it started just talking and giving us a no answers. And it said her name, it wouldn't say my name. It was very strange.

I didn't hear any of the other voices that normally come through. I don't know if that is an entity in and of itself or if it's something in the house that we know it can mimic things. You know, somehow was aware of this other entity in the sound and used it to try to gain trust or be more scary in that scenario. So that was pretty interesting.

I let them walk around the house and see where they felt things were most calm or most spicy. And one of the rooms where they felt was the best was actually a room where we've had a lot of activity up in the craft room on the top floor. They're like, oh, it feels great here. It feels fine here.

I'm like, that's interesting. How strange. Strange that it feels that way up here. There's much less belonging to the house than everything.

So there's a little less influence on people's feelings as you kind of go around the house. But the weirdest thing happened though, I mean, that was pretty weird. But a wild thing, I guess, I should say happened at the end. If we ever encounter anything that's dark or negative or anything like that, I usually bust out my encrossing oil, also because it just smells great.

If you ever go on a public investigation, something happens. Yeah. And you love the smell of it. There's no time.

Everybody likes it. It was like, hey, we gotta use this before we go because I don't know what that was. So it was a short investigation. I wasn't going to sit around and find out.

It's easier just to cross all of our teas and dot our eyes and leave. And I did it on me. And right when I put some on them, we heard full on footsteps and something move in the other room. Like immediately it would sound like it walked out of our room and walked further away in the other room right when I put it on them.

Oh, wow. Whoa. And I was like, was that upstairs? I was on the main floor and the way out.

Like just last thing we were doing. And we had heard something lurking there before. Always on that main floor. There's always stuff that's crazy.

The time that there's follow up because sometimes past since this happened, they do have a spirit box. And I was like, they've done it at their house and they've heard the same voice and everything. And based off of the fact that they sent that possessed object and everything else, this is the first time that I've seen them. And you know, obviously, like this possessed object was created in between the years since I'd seen them last and this all that or stuff happened.

And I was like, hey, when you go home, maybe just try your spirit box and see if you get that voice that you always get. Didn't come through. So I'm wondering if, aside from the possessed object that had a low level entity there, if they had an attachment that we just incidentally broke through the crossing oil and saying nothing can follow us home. Also wondering if I've abandoned something in my grandma's house.

So next investigation might get weird. Very interesting. Has any investigation at your grandma's house ever been normal? No.

That's got some crazy energy there. So just to be clear, your grandma does not live in your grandma's house, correct? As far as I know. I mean, she might be there, but I don't think my grandma and my grandpa's spirits are there anymore at all.

I think they're out doing whatever they are. Very a couple miles away. So nobody hitting this new might think, oh, whiskey just went to his grandma's house and foot and left bad spirits. Yeah, we do that to the local dennies on my grandma's house.

Alright guys. Good story. I needed a good investigation story since we've been on break for a while. So that was nice.

So listeners, how are you doing? Doing well, I hope. If you feel like you could do better or you want to do better emotionally, contact Lardong CCHT. She is the best rated hypnotherapist in her city.

So go check out her website at new.donhypnotherapy.com. So I know I was one of the mystic frog for their sales. I was like, we should have your mom do like a little class for us just about hypnotherapy there. It'd be so fun.

She would love that. She would love that. It would be super fun. Alright, I'm talking to her tonight guys.

That will make her so happy and we'll all be better off for it. Awesome. Good plan. Alright guys, moon tells with moon time.

Boodoo. Boodoo. Today I want to talk about Hongyu or Red Moon in Chinese culture. Hongyu is what we call the blood moon America.
