Wayne's World

ayne's World that really established the template SNL movies would follow for the next decade. It's also unquestionably one of the more successful entries in that pantheon. Although if we're being honest, that's not a very high bar to clear. So how does all of this play two decades later? Especially now that the counter-culture appeal of this style of comedy has been slightly diluted by how often Mike Myers returned to this same bag of tricks in other films. Topics include: the origins of the Wayne's World sketch, the surprisingly tense atmosphere behind-the-scenes, what we're told about the character of Stacy vs what we actually see, some early 90s foreshadowing of Chris' interest in podcasting, the less than enthusiastic response to Wayne's World 2, why Mike Myers and Dana Carvey stopped speaking for many years, the bits of this that still work, the moments that don't, and much much more!
