Kassandra started her YouTube channel in 2014 with no real dreams or goals. YouTube for her was a way for her to share her passion, to teach, and to help her get studio jobs. She didn’t realize that online work was a legitimate “thing.” Her channel had very humble beginnings: she knew nothing about filming, editing, or marketing, she didn’t have any equipment, and she recorded by taping her cell phone against the wall so it would stay in place. She treated her videos like her own personal practice. Her growth was a slow and steady process where every month was better than the previous month. There was no real dramatic increase or viral hit that catapulted her channel to success.
