The simple focus of the Awakening is to pray and to learn about the power of corporate prayer, with the goal that pastors and leaders are given tools to lead their churches to pray. All of the speakers are selected for their emphasis on prayer and their focus on the in-breaking and stewarding of God's coming Kingdom. The Awakening conference is thoroughly Wesleyan-Holiness in its perspective and focus, seeking to retain the scripture, tradition, reason and experience to become a holiness movement again. We are also deeply committed to being focused not on a denomination or church affiliation, but rather to emphasize the need for desperation for the church to become one.
