WCC Expansion & Portland’s New Look | Portland Pilots Basketball News

The West Coast Conference just unveiled its 2026-27 men’s basketball schedule — and it’s bigger, bolder, and more flexible than ever. With Denver officially joining this season to make it 10 teams, and UC San Diego & UC Santa Barbara set to join in 2027-28, the league is expanding fast. Portland gets a unique slate, playing every team twice except Santa Clara and Seattle U (one game each), while the conference opens up game days to five nights a week for TV partners. The championship returns to Vegas March 5-9, 2027. For Portland, six key returners — including the Gonzaga-beating crew — team up with nine new recruits under Coach Shantay Legans for what promises to be a thrilling season.
