When talking unsung heroes of early 1990’s skateboarding. You’d be hard-pressed not to hear the name John Montesi in the mix. New Deal Skateboards, is what any & everyone was talking about. The team was absolutely stacked, and John was hand-picked for their star-studded amateur squad. Joining the ranks of Andy Howell, Danny Saregent & company, was no easy task. But, thats what truly separates the LEGENDS out here. Tune in as John opens up about meeting Paul Schmitt, and the beginning of New Deal Skateboards. We share a funny story from Kona Pro ‘92, where John & my Mom play a prank on me. We discuss everything early 90s, including Exile Skateboards. Ozzie Alvarez, vert skating, and all things skateboarding! This gentleman has done so much for not only myself. But, countless skaters both old & new.
