WCRP: Matt Pailes 014
from WCRP on Skateboarding · host Clyde Singleton
Throughout the years, friends come & go. Some, more memorable than others. Matt Pailes has been a friend, for close to 30years. I’d met Matt, before either of us had even migrated to California as teenagers. Not knowing what the future held, we‘d all eventually link up in SF. Skated everyday. All with the same hopes & dreams. As time went by, most of those early Northern California friendships fell wayside. Some, no longer with us. Some, became too cool. Some- remained the same. Matt Pailes, has ALWAYS been the same guy since day one: awesome person to be around, absolute charger on a skateboard & one of the funniest people I‘ve had the pleasure of calling a friend. Tune in, as Matt & I take a trip down memory lane. Starting with his humble beginnings delivering The Salem Newspaper as a kid. Growing up skating Boston, Amesbury & the all the OG, North Shore spots. Being broke teenagers in SF, shooting our first SLAP check-outs. Running from security guards in your 40s. And, all great things skateboarding! With special guest appearance, by none other than Amesbury’s own, triple-OG Tom Dupere. This, is for the culture. Thank you, to my brother Matt Pailes. I’ve been doing media, for 25 years. This was truly, one of the funniest & most genuine conversations I’ve had in that time frame. Thank you, Matt. With that being said.. Massachusetts- STAND UP! Its the mighty, mighty WCRP!- Clyde Singleton
