"We All Have Something To Learn From Each Other" #110 -an enlightening conversation with Keisha Messina

from Coffee in the Corral · host AJ

A challenging and enlightening conversation with Keisha Messina This week I was incredibly honored to have Keisha Messina come on my podcast and share how the past few years have opened her eyes to the importance of living life in full authenticity.  She bravely shares the very personal story of her partner transitioning to female and how that challenged Keisha to grow. I am so grateful for Keisha’s willingness to share what she has learned so that the rest of us can become more educated and learn how to be true allies. Keisha talks about: -the struggles trans people experience -the importance of understanding and supporting the trans community -her passion and how she got to work for the S.T.A.R.T. nonprofit -why we need to live authentically -the need for spouses of transitioning partners to also have support -the two big events that S.T.A.R.T. puts on every year -why Keisha will NOT be voting for Trump -how just going and having those conversations can enlighten us I loved this conversation so much. I learned a shit ton. I think you will too. Please go check out S.T.A.R.T., (Springfield Transgender and Ally Resources) and find out how you can learn more and support this important organization.  https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100089029249854&mibextid=LQQJ4d
