There is a simple, universal thrill in receiving an invitation. Whether it’s a beautifully embossed wedding invite arriving in the mail or a casual text from a friend asking you to grab coffee, being invited feels good. It says, "I see you. I value you. I want you here." It validates our belonging and reminds us that we are not alone.
