But welcome to your Tuesday. Glad to have you along with us. um We are literally one week away from the primaries here in South Carolina. One week after. Well, I tell you what, it seemed like it was just it was just yesterday. 00:26 You know, hey, I told you that June 9th is going to be here before you know it. And here we are. It is just about upon us. And it is time to make your decision. Have you gotten enough information from these candidates? Have they answered your questions to your satisfaction? Have you downloaded your sample ballot? 00:52 Have you gone back and checked to make sure that everybody that you are planning on voting for is exactly the person that is going to do the job that you hope gets to be done? uh Let me tell you a little interesting thing here. I saw a really bad infographic about this, how well we're doing here in South Carolina. And I'm getting all these people, man, all these people that are like, they're like trying to hold them. It's the Democrats. 01:20 Charlie the Democrats are crossing, yeah, they're absolutely crossing over. We know they do that here in South Carolina. We know that open primaries benefit the rhinos to a huge degree. But y'all gotta get out there and vote. I mean, right now, the upstate is lagging behind in early voting. Had a record number day one, but that was mostly Richland County and Charleston County. 01:48 They were two of the, I would say, top three or four heavy hitters in all of the voting. So are you going to get out and vote coming up either, my wife and I are going to vote on Thursday, actually. We're going to get up and we're going to go vote first thing in the morning. We're going to go ahead and get our vote recorded. That way, if anything happens coming up a week from today, then we're covered. And I kind of like that. mean, you know, a lot of people have problem with early voting. 02:17 You know, in states like South Carolina where we actually, I don't know, require an ID, that's not really a problem. But we got to have better than 13.5 % voter turnout, though the way we did in the last non-presidential primary. That's how, that is literally how we get in the mess that we're in. And it's also people who have no idea who to vote for. Now, believe it or not, not everybody's like you guys. 02:47 Not everybody keeps up, not everybody, you know, checks out freedom scores, everybody checks out all of this stuff in these candidates, not everybody pays attention to it. Some people literally vote for somebody because that was the last name they heard. Oh, oh yeah, I've heard of that guy. Yeah, I'm gonna vote for him. Knowing nothing about their record, nothing about what they have and have not accomplished. We have had. 03:17 We have had a supermajority slash supermajority in South Carolina where the Republicans have held the governor's mansion, the House, and the Senate since 2003. That is 23 years these Republicans have been in office. 03:47 And where are we? Where are we in education? 41st? Where are we in overall status? Where are we in our roads? Where are we in our bridges? Where are we in all of these great things that really affect our lives in such a huge way? So why are people still gonna vote for the same old people that have gotten us into the problems that we're in? That I don't get it. A lot of times you'll see people like 04:16 like New York or Los Angeles or Baltimore. It doesn't matter. Any Democrat run city. And they sit back and you look at the condition of those cities and people always say, why do they keep voting for these people? Well, the same can be said for us here in South Carolina.
