 In this episode of EZ Conversations, host Furkhan sits down with Ramsey Hanhan, a Palestinian-American scientist-turned-author and activist, for a 75-minute conversation that is equal parts memoir, history lesson, and call to action. Ramsey draws on his two books, Fugitive Dreams and Palestine Bleeds For You, to walk listeners through the lived experience of growing up under military occupation in the West Bank in the 1970s and 1980s, the intergenerational trauma passed down through Palestinian families since the Nakba, the systematic silencing of Palestinian voices on social media, the true meaning of the Intifada, the colonization of the mind, and what it means to practice hope rather than simply feel it. The conversation is intimate, urgent, and historically grounded, offering perspectives rarely heard in mainstream media. Ramsey Hanhan is a father, scientist, and independent author of two books: Palestine Bleeds For You (2026) and the autobiographical Fugitive Dreams (2022). His short stories, essays, and poetry appear in The Harvard Advocate, Fikra magazine, Scene48, Mondoweiss and other publications. A former physics professor, Ramsey lives near Baltimore and speaks on Palestine and literature.    His debut novel, Fugitive Dreams, published in October 2022, is an autobiographical narrative about growing up under Israeli military occupation in Palestine and building a life in the United States. His second book, Palestine Bleeds For You, published in 2026, is a collection of poems and essays written in the aftermath of October 7, 2023, drawing on his experience reporting daily from Palestine as the war escalated.
