We Are Asking YOU to Wake Up About Consent with Joyce Short

from Mental Health News Radio · host Mental Health News Radio

Thank you to our friends, Michelle Mallon and Christine Louis de Canonville, for introducing MHNR Network to the work of Joyce Short. She sat down with our host, Kristin Sunanta Walker, for an hour to talk about consent. This is a discussion for everyone to hear, absorb, and awaken to regardless of gender, religion, politics, economics, or age. She is a recipient of the 2017 "Woman of Distinction" honor by the NY State Assembly. She wrote "Combating Romance Scams, Why Lying to Get Laid Is a Crime!" to outlaw romance scams across the US and beyond. Her 2013 publication, "Carnal Abuse by Deceit" is available on Amazon in paperback, and e-formats. The memoir chronicles a painful romance scam she endured and outlines the steps that enable victims to reclaim their dignity. She blogs at www.CombatingRomanceScams.com. She's a staunch advocate for victims, and she'd love to hear from you at [email protected] if you need help to recover, secure justice, or pursue legislation in your area. Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/mental-health-news-radio--3082057/support.
