Okay, okay, we're now recording. Hi everybody. It's we're back from a very long hiatus. This is a it's an Ian and this is Danny.
What's going on? Well, first off, I wanted to apologize to say that I specifically like to apologize. I would like to apologize for taking about a month or so off from this show. Life happens.
Life does happen and it just so happened to happen every time I wanted to do something here. Actually, one time I was coming out here, I had a car. Both of my tires get flat at the same time. I had one donut that was on its last leg.
I drove on it for four months, which you're not supposed to do. No, no, you're not. And then my other driver's tire just blew up on me. That's not good.
So yeah, I thank God for free towing though. I have my insurance just so good. I have to like 20 plus miles. I'm like, that's good.
That's amazing. Even because I live in Hammond, which is like right off the border of Illinois, and it's like a first city, even from this school to my house is not even 25 miles, which is like, that's very fortunate. I calculated it's not like 20 miles. It's significant.
It's like right there. It's at the cusp of 20 miles, but you were still within the ballpark. I'm still in the range of free towing, which is fantastic. That's good.
But I was like six and a half miles away. I'm like, can you take driver on the block once or twice? The guy took, he said, oh, between 10 minutes and an hour and a half, and I'm like, he's not going to be here in an hour and a half. He was there two hours later.
Wow. I like that time range. And I'm like, he not only went to the time range. But over the time range.
I'm like, I like the honesty, but I don't like how you really shot over half hour over. Yeah, but but the overall the tires weren't that bad. It was it was bad because I got a really bad paycheck. And that was what most of most of not my entire paycheck went to that day.
So I was like, I can't afford gas to go out there now. So that's OK. And then like, you know, then I got caught up with stuff and I'm now caught up with JoJo and now I'm two behind again to chapter reading or watching. Oh, reading.
Okay. I'm like, I'm on a card eight now. Like we are golden right here. Now I'm to the forefront.
I'm now two chapters behind again because I don't know what they come out about. Maybe 50 or 60 chapters behind of one piece. And I know everyone's like, either you're saying what's one piece or that's not that bad or the bigger extreme, which is you sucking. So it's like chapter eight, 77, 878, I believe it's almost out of thousand.
Oh my God. It's it. You know what? There's a boxing manga out there for those of you who aren't into manga, but would like to get into it.
There's a very long running manga called Hajime no EPO. Hajime no EPO is about a guy named EPO and it's a he just wants the box. He just wants the box, but it's not just about boxing. There's some family stuff.
There's a little bit of slice of life in there. So it's good. It's good. It's good time.
But we're not here to talk about manga too much. I just want to talk about my life. I also saw it in my birthday on a super related birthday. Oh, no problem.
Thank you. I just turned 22. I'm still young, I guess. I'm going to be 25.
Wow. I know that that's how much I already were at the end of this month. Nice. Well, and so I also got a lot of really cool birthday presents.
My girlfriend just got me all those cool Funko pops. I love them. Obviously my shirts. I always wear shirts of them.
Oh, yeah. You're you're banging me on Funko pop head in that school. Yeah. She just got me the Phantasm from the mask of the Phantasm.
They make those. It just came out recently. That's awesome. It's so cute.
How they do now they make those. I'll show you at the end of the show. It's really cute. I love you who can only listen and not see Google.
Just imagine just imagine a mask of the Phantasm. Just imagine it's very cute. And also I also started collecting those a JoJo hard covers. Those are really good.
Those so addicting. Yeah. I see what those are all caught up with. And I'm also collecting the regular manga release of JoJo's guitar, Part 3, Star Destroyer Sator.
And to be to be quite honest, I mean, the third Star Destroyer Sator was kind of the weakest of the stories, but that's only because they had to introduce Jotaro Kujo and Star Platinum and Stan and so forth. And they basically had to reestablish a significant JoJo, a significant Jo Star, but Jotaro Kujo is only a Jo Star through lineage and birth instead of actually by name. But that's fine because again, he's got Star Platinum and him and Star Platinum are practically unstoppable. I have all of Phantom Blood.
I got that for my last week. All of them in one fail sweep, thank God for Amazon Prime. Like as soon as I got like the release of the order I got an email on my phone shipped. I'm like, see, why can't it be like this for everything?
And my friend bought me the first book of Battle Tenancy. So I'm thinking of myself, I'm going to buy the other three books and I was talking to my other friend, the guy who got me into JoJo all like about maybe eight plus months ago. And he told me. Wait, wait, wait, wait, eight months in your cut up reading?
Yeah, wow. I told him when I read, I'll read. So I read. But it was only from Part 5 to Part 8.
So it's like, that's not that bad. Like, Part 5 was the struggle and I have to get through. But like once Part 6 happened, it just kind of like seemed like, and then Part 7 was just so addicting. Part 5 and 7 do drag a little bit.
Seven's worth it though. It's my favorite still. But anyway, so he just told me like, Lincoln the Stardust Crusader hard covers like Be Gone or Be Done already. So I can just waste all my money on a time.
It's unbreakable and buy three copies of each book. Joe Skays next to the guitar. I think Joe Skays is one of the more popular stand users. He's just, I mean, I just can't wait to see what they look like because I like how just the artwork is just so good.
Oh, yeah. The design on the covers amazing. Right. So he just draws like the old school characters in like the modern way.
And the new way on the new way. Like, Joe said it looked that great. Like on the, on his cover, like how he looks. I see, I like the way that he made Jonathan look.
Oh yeah. I like the whole like, I like the suit and the scarf and the colors that he added to it. He looks nice. Like, this is Joseph looks like.
That's my favorite guy. Me and I buddy had a conversation about this between Jonathan Joe star, Joseph Joe star and just Jataroku Joe. So basically they're the three, they're the three lords of Joe Joe's was our adventure without those three. There wouldn't be a Joe's was our adventure, right?
Correct. Right. Yes or no? Kind of sort of.
So Joseph doesn't really fit in that equation as much because Jonathan's the one who starts in. Right. Joe Taros, the one who finishes it. But no matter what, all three of them had something to do with it.
So I mean, you're talking about the only ones who actually saved the world, like on a world scale, like the only ones who did anything like that big. Right. Everyone else just like I brought in a serial killer. Just good job.
Right. So does our koojo is the strongest simply because he's got star, he's got a force. He's got star platinum. Yeah, he's got star platinum.
Um, Jonathan Joe stars the fan favorite. He's my favorite who doesn't love Jonathan Joe star. A lot of you get it really. Yeah, he had it really.
A lot of people I heard I told them about talking to them about you. You're the one person who's like stayed with Jonathan, like as one of your favorites, if not your favorite from the test of time. And some people say that that's really like I think it's just like you are the only person I know who's like that's your number one. Yeah.
Well, I mean, I'm talking to other Joe fans. They absolutely love Jonathan. They didn't like that he was killed off. But I mean, it's because of story, but Joseph's the best.
Joseph's the best. Um, he won't die. Yeah, he's the best. Pretty much.
But he went into a tangent a half haven't we? Yeah. And I said, we said we weren't going to talk about manga too much, but we did. We were liars, but I was just want to talk about my life and stuff.
And those hard covers are really good. And I can't recommend them anymore. Go on Amazon because you should not be paying $20 for them though. Like I paid $10 to $14 per one.
That's not a bad price. And I recommend you just go on Amazon going Amazon Prime. Go there. Like that's really if you're a manga collector and you want to know what the heck we're talking about go on Amazon and find out like they're really good.
It's a kind of a cool story. If you liked to the North story, you're like karate manga or you just like old school manga or you're like, well, how do I start in a manga? This stuff's 30 years old. This is literally years young.
I'm just saying like 30 years young is still ongoing series. It changes every time. It's a really good story. And you know, I was just recently turned 30, like literally two days ago, my favorite fighting game series Street Fighter just turned 30 like on the 30th.
You know what? I've been on a real street fighter EX kick because I knew he ex games coming out. Yeah, ex fighter fighting layer. Whatever it's still on it's called unnamed fighting game.
Here, ex fighting layer. Yeah, that's what it that's what it's it's success or name, I guess. But enough about that. Yeah, I'm just excited for that.
Came here and said we were going to talk about defenders and reviewed offenders. Yep. So came out a little bit ago, didn't it? Came out in the middle of August and it broke.
I believe it broke a record for the most binged like watch show on Netflix for a while. It was, I think it broke it in like, I think probably I want to be surprised if the other Netflix shows were like, well, actually Jessica Jones is the most viewed out of all of them. That is a yes. Jessica Jones is the most viewed out of all of them.
You would think it would be the least viewed. I actually think that iron fist is a least. I mean, obviously, I'm just saying like people want to see that because like, oh, it's so bad. Jessica Jones is the most viewed and maybe Luke Cage, but only Luke Cage is the second most viewed because it's just it's fresh because the cotton mouth dude.
Yeah, he's a really good actor too. He's like, I honestly stopped carrying as soon as he got, uh, he got killed off. I was trying not to avoid it. Well, it's been out for a hot minute, folks.
I mean, you should go watch it. And if you haven't, then cotton mouth dies. Sorry. Oh, he lose.
But um, so the thing I like about this was that it was it was eight episodes versus 12 episodes. I really liked that because it was eight hours of binging and hours for me. Yep. And I started really early in the morning.
And I was like, I was like, I was like, I was done probably by like four o'clock, but I knew a lot of binging. I mean, like they weren't even also hours. So like, I think I got done like a three, actually three, three, 30, like, okay, because it's not like a flair like, I think a longest episode or maybe 55 minutes. Yeah, they're just barely an hour.
Yeah. Like the shortest were like 44 to 45 minutes, which again, that's terrible. You can do that. I was able to do it just fine.
Yeah. And um, I just liked it because I feel like that was my problem with the other shows. Uh, obviously Daredevil and other ones because it's just 12 episodes. It just seems like too much because it's so addicting, but also it's like, I don't want to overbearing.
I spend 12 hours watching this. I have better. I'm not saying I have better things to do because I be playing games or something else or reading books or work or cleaning or whatever adult life. Yeah.
It's not, they have anything literally better to do. Right. But it's like, I don't want to be a couch potato for 12 hours. Right.
Oh, it's only one day out of the year. I know. I'm just saying like, but you know, like they came out with two shows at a time. Like at some time, I'm like, I don't want to do this.
Like when a Daredevil season two and Luke Cage came out at the same time, I'm like, uh, not like the same time, like within a month apart. I'm like, yeah, I still recovered from season two. I don't know. Season two.
My favorite series is Daredevil is my favorite Netflix superhero series. Season two is the best because it had a had, a had a lecturer had Punisher had everybody in it. It had more than just Daredevil in it. I know, I know.
Now you could say that about, you know, the other shows, you know, they kind of hint that hell cats in it. I'm just, I'm just going to hint a little bit that the Marvel superhero, Hellcat is in Jessica Jones somehow a little bit. Uh, the character Nuke is also in Jessica Jones. I'm so happy they included someone so not like new.
Yes. As soon as I heard that whatever his name is Simpson, I think his last name is in like wait and he's like, he's like, and I heard of word, give me a red or something. Like wait a minute, is that new? Yeah.
I don't think anyone knows about. I know he's early 2000s. None of my friends knew about new. He's like, who is that guy?
Like taking pills? I'm like, that's new. He's a Captain America villain. That's the thing.
He switched on Daredevil a few times, but he's mainly a Captain America villain. So as a, so as a, Artie in Hand hasn't watched Iron Fist, but the character of Baccuto, the reason you can't find anything about Baccuto anything on Google, if you're looking or learning, is because he was such a minor Daredevil villain. He was a sub leader of the Hand that in the comics at least, that Daredevil pretty much spanks him. He's just a guy of your kid.
All right, Baccuto, whatever. Baccuto, Hokuto, no Ken. Oh, so he didn't really get that much like time in the sun in terms of comics or anything? No, and time's a pen and paper.
He didn't get too much. Huh. That explains why I've never heard of his name when I watched the Defenders. But he's in the Marvel Netflix series.
They're giving him some justice. They're doing him a little bit different, which is fine. Let me just do that. Well, yeah, but.
Every villain dies in the Netflix series. That's how it really works. Honestly, the thing I also like the most sides of the overall. Basically, it's scaled from one to 10.
How did you like Defenders? It's not my absolute favorite. I liked it as much as I liked Daredevil Season 1, which is my personal favorite. I like Season 1 a lot because of anticipation of there's something more coming.
And as soon as you see the suit, it's like, for me, it felt so worth it. The suit in Daredevil or the suit in Defenders? No, in Daredevil. Like the first time you see the suit with those.
I felt that way in Defenders. When he finally put on the suit and then Jessica Jones made that comment. But before that whole scene, that whole sequence before that, I was like, yes, Daredevil's here. And you know what else I really like about Defenders?
Daredevil got so much awesome. He's got so bad ass in Defenders. He was awesome. He was really, really, really cool in Defenders.
He took on two members of the hand by himself and Jessica Jones and Luke Cage, spoiler alert. The two most invulnerable and penetrable characters in the show have to take on one member of the hand. Meanwhile, Daredevil, blind ninja, is taking on two. Who's got like?
He's got no powers except he knows Karate, he do backflips. I'm just kidding. He's strange stick. But I mean, he's still in terms of power, like at the end of the day, actual power level, he's the weakest one.
He doesn't have super powers. But he's the most skillful. You can make the argument that Iron Fist is the most skillful. But because of the martial arts background and the immortal Iron Fist that he bears and everything, they could penetrate the invulnerable skin of Luke Cage and whatnot.
But he's also like, he's disciplined as Daredevil. Like Daredevil's like the Batman of the series. Like he's so. Matt Murdock literally throws himself into the fire.
He's like, he's like, he's like, in terms of like actual power scaling, he's the weakest. But by his overall heart and courage, he's the best. Yes. And I feel like that I like how no character was the main character in the show.
Everybody got their story. Everyone got a story and everyone took their turns. And everybody had their interactions too. Like you saw Jessica J.
Jessica, excuse me while I can't speak English. You saw Jessica Jones interact with Misty Knight, Officer Misty Knight. Those are some cool dialogues. Overall, it's a really, I just like how they paired off the people in the way they did.
Like they could have went with Jessica and Luke, but you know how they could have went. It's like they're low-key and hinting at infidelity between him and Claire, which all the more reason I hate the Luke Cage and Claire romance. Yeah, that's kind of weird. I never liked it because I'm like, I think she's a better fit for Matt.
In my eyes, I always thought she was a better fit. Yeah, that's the weird thing. In terms of Matt Murdock stuff. You know what?
That's the one thing that I have. I'm surprised that none of these guys have contracted any STEs or anything like that because, all right. So Matt Murdock was with Claire, right? No, not in a relationship.
It's a religious professional. You seem like there could have been something going on and making it, they want something to happen, but there was something that prevented it. And then Matt was with Karen, their secretary. No, it's still not romantic with her yet.
It doesn't have to be romantic. Get it on. No, he didn't do anything with her. They do the deed.
They don't? No, no, I mean, in the comics, yes, but not in the show. I'm talking, no, no, no, no, no. I'm talking about Claire and Matt Murdock from season one.
Why'd you bring up Karen? You just brought up Karen. Did I really? Yes, you just said Karen.
I meant like Claire and Karen and Claire. I'm sorry. I get their names mixed up. How?
Because it sounds like a cuh. Yes. Cuh. Whatever.
But I mean, Luke Cage is like, had his way with everybody in the show. Everyone is. He had his way with Jessica Jones. He had his way with Misty.
And he had his way with some other random stranger in Jessica Jones. And then now it's Claire. No, not in that order, but the night nurse and it's ridiculous. I feel the effort going to be sleeping with everybody.
I mean, no, it's Luke Cage sleeping with everybody. Luke Cage is like the king of like sleeping around in the show. Like dude, they're not always level like two or three people in the span that the Netflix Marvel series has been out. That's still like not as much as Luke Cage.
Luke Cage is doubling it. And like half the time he's been around. Daredevil has two whole seasons. Luke Cage had 12 episodes.
Right. Yeah. Literally in the double and less the time he's done twice as much. Just like you're a superhero, man.
I get it. You're hard on the outside and you're soft on the inside and you still love to love and we get it. It's a beautiful thing. I can't look at coffee anymore.
Because every time he says coffee, I just. You don't mean coffee, you liar. Is that man? If I remember that man and he said you want coffee, I would actually fear for my life.
Because I'm like, let's go to Starbucks where people are. He's like, I don't care. Right. Because my body says no, but my heart will say yes and I don't know how to feel about that.
But I mean, overall, he's a very beautiful man. Overall jokes aside. It's great. I like defenders.
I like defenders. Really good show. If I had to give it it's out of 10, I'd give it a good solid eight. A lot of people have given it an eight and stuff.
I'm like, like, I think it deserves an eight. It's not perfect by any means. I think it deserves a nine just because of the amount of content that was in the other shows that made it to a lot of questions were answered in the show. However, there are still questions looming after the show.
Like after the show ended, there's still questions looming out there. Definitely not. Let's talk about those specific questions or like not. Let's not mention the spoiler is rectified at the end.
Right. Like certain things that happened at the end of Daredevil, a character that we don't know about. What happened in con lun at the end of Iron Fist. You know, there's just certain questions that need to be answered.
But those are for those individual shows. But you know, it makes for a good story for those other shows. And that's why I liked it. It's the truth.
It's the truth. The Netflix. Before I get into the stuff I hated about it because it's obviously those pros and cons. But before I get into the cons, which are like big cons for me, I want to say two things because these are both awesome and like in their own right.
I liked how the Netflix Marvel, even though they're supposed to be in the same universe as the rest of the MCU, I like how these connect way better to each other and into the defenders as the actual Marvel films do with each other. So like very good point. Like a lot of people have made that point. I want you to get into your point.
Well, my thing is like Daredevil, Daredevil season one and two go right into each other. Like Iron Man and Iron Man one go in perfectly. And then like the idea that Colson is like Colson is the conduit of the first part of the Avengers before the Avengers goes into everything. He was the link.
He was the link and Claire is the link in the defenders. Like Claire and Colson, which is hilarious. There you go guys. There you go.
It was between Claire and Colson. I don't know. Toss up. Oh man.
But anyway, like the connect between that it's like Colson connects with Thor because like they talk about Starks. So it's like, Oh, so they mentioned Starks. Like they're trying their best. Like they're not they're not throwing it in your face.
Like, Hey, guess what? I'm also an Iron Man. I was more like, is that one of Starks? Oh, he doesn't tell me anything.
Right. And that's all you hear about Tony Stark is like, that's that's fine. That's enough. And then you see Nick Fury for Captain America.
Like if it's not Colson, it's Nick Fury. They're both the links to it. And then it kind of, when you see Hawkeye like for like for 30 seconds in Thor and Black Widow gets like a real nice, you know, tidbit in Iron Man too. So it's like they don't need their own movies.
They're like their minor characters, even if they're getting character development in other movies, they're still minor characters. I don't need a whole movie in my opinion. I don't want people to be like, one's that Black Widow movie? Like, I'll never watch that.
I don't care about Black Widow that much ever get her own two hour movie. They want a Hawkeye to get their own movie too. Why is it because Hawkeye hang out with his kids for two hours? Or the circus.
That's how he's brought up was kind of like Dick Grayson was the circus. I know, but that's where he's at. He's a poor man's in Nightwing. But then they would bring in the swordsman.
I do like the swordsman because that was like his rival in the comics. The kid was the swordsman. Right. But and then like after the Avengers, because like all those movies, the ones that raised one movies, they fit in perfectly.
But Iron Man 3, Tony Stark gives up being Iron Man. And then in Age of Ultron, he's Iron Man again. Yeah. Like what happened, Tony?
You only want to make sense between one to the other. You know what? I didn't like Iron Man 3 for that reason because it was just it just felt like too much. It was just a hodgepodge of it.
It made Age of Ultron confusing. Yes. I felt like an Age of Ultron wasn't that good either. It's it's it's really good with the action, but the story is so bad.
I mean, that's like the argument. I can make it. I want you to make it. The action could not keep me awake in the movie theater.
I had to go to Red Box and re-rent that movie and watched it. And I was you know what I was doing? I was watching while I was watching Age of Ultron. I was curling.
I was doing curls in my room watching this movie going. I fell asleep through all of this. I can see why. That was the only cool part was when they were all trying to pull on Molnir at the at the at the like the the gathering table or whatever the living room I guess to say.
Everyone's trying to pick it up and then Captain America gets to it or Steve Rogers gets to it and he's like and it moves a little bit and then Thor kind of like his he grimaces and then he smiles. He's like, no, I mean, I feel like that's just how I mean after the Avengers, I feel they just have not had the best quality. I mean Civil War is fun and homecoming has been my favorite. It's surpassed Windsor Soldier, which is hard for me to say.
You had a kick for winter soldiers for a while. It's still interesting to listen to that and our previous shows as well. Ian Hand here absolutely loves the Winter Soldier for a while. He thought it was like the second coming of Jesus Christ kind of like everybody was hoping for Superman too, but it didn't happen or Superman Returns, but it didn't happen.
I mean, yeah, I mean, Winter Soldier was definitely like the best Marvel movie I think I've ever seen. And I still feel like in terms of quality as much as I love homecoming, Winter Soldier is been the only movie I've watched three days in a row. I watched at least once or twice for three days straight. So I watched that movie at the minimum three times in three days or six times in three days.
Like I watched that movie a lot when I got the DVD. I had to use that poor little thing. It's just such a good movie. I don't know why.
It's not even like that impressive. I just I don't know. It just had an impact on me. But like I'm saying, like Winter Soldier doesn't even connect well with Age of Ultron.
Like I feel like that all the other movies in Phase two don't connect well, but Age of Ultron does a good job with Civil War and Spider-Man comes good after Civil War. Like Age of Ultron is a good set of four Civil War and Spider-Man is a good editing point for Civil War because like, okay, we know where Captain America is. He's busting out his buddies in the prison. Iron Man and all the other pro red guys are just they're just hanging out.
Right. And Tony starts all like being bothered by Peter Parker because where's Peter Parker? He doesn't show up in the other Avengers movies so far. Right.
Like this is what's he doing? Cause like this is this is what was his introduction to the universe. Right. What does he do?
Like who is this kid? Like just as a person in the Marvel universe. You know, while you're watching those movies too, you kind of get a sense of that too when he just shows up into the fight and you're like Spider-Man. Wait a minute.
I thought Spider-Man was Sony. Where did this come from? And then that's how that sparked that that demand. If you're living in that universe, if you live in the universe at Iron Man and Captain America and even characters like Falcon came before Spider-Man.
Yeah. Live in that universe. Like if Iron Man flew over our heads like right now, like that's Iron Man. That's like that's Disney.
No, no, no, just saying like if we lived in the Marvel universe, if we lived in the cinematic universe, like the cinematic universe. Right. I'm saying. It was just like, oh cool, Iron Man.
He exists and it's like he just blew over us and I'm like, who's this Spider guy? Like this little, like, he's an icon on YouTube. Like, we saw him catch a car against a bus. And now he's spying alongside Iron Man.
Who is that guy? And then like that movie answers the question, like who is Spider-Man? But like, it's called Spider-Man Homecoming. But for us, like as fans who live in the real world, it's like, oh my God, it's Spider-Man.
And it's like, I'm actually happy that they took so long to introduce them. But at the same time, it's like the cohesiveness in the glue from the first part of the Avengers don't really hold up in the second phase to Age of Ultron. But space three is doing better because Civil War was just a real good kickstarter for it. Right.
And so what I'm trying to say is like, but Netflix did good. Like Daredevil season one and season two really connected well. Jessica Jones, again, was a conduit. Like it was in the same city kind of not even the same.
They're all based in New York, but they all have their own sections of New York. Kind of like how kind of like how Nightwing has Bloodhaven in Gotham. Yeah. So like Jessica Jones, like she has her own story about Claire shows up because it's like, well, she's at the same hospital that Daredevil went to.
Luke Cage is in Harlem and it's like Harlem and Hell's Kitchen aren't super close. We're not super far away from each other. Iron Fist is so far away from it all. But he comes to New York as that's where his company is.
Yes. He comes home to where these guys already live and like how the net like how the first episode or the first two episodes of Defenders work beautifully mind you. Yes. Because it's like, OK, Daredevil is being a lawyer in Hell's kitchen.
Jessica Jones is being Jessica Jones and whatever part of the town she's in. Luke Cage came home from prison in Harlem and now Iron Fist is on his way home from China. They all have their stories. And they're coming together.
It's like they're literally haring at home. Like we are cohesive. Every single character has had their show and that shows basically a road for their paths to cross on Defenders, which is why it's better. I think that even if Punisher just jumped in and jumped back out, I thought it was going to, but he didn't.
I was praying for it, but like I wasn't upset that he didn't. I'm just happy to get his own show. In my eyes, it's like if he showed up icing on a cake, if he didn't, wouldn't be a big cake. It was a good cake anyways.
It's still a very delicious cake. I was watching. I'm watching my way. There's no icing on it.
Punisher came on. I would gladly get that diabetes. Punisher was just like the little, the little, the little cake. Oh, you like little like skull sprinkles.
Yes. I gotta make some skull sprinkles now. So the cons, like let's just wrap this up with tons. There's only two things I don't like about the show.
OK, there's only two, two things. And I think it's, first off, it's too short. I like how it was eight episodes for my overall pleasure. But I feel like they could at least add like maybe one more episode, like have an uneven nine episode.
I just felt like it could have just done a little bit more. I don't know. There's something like what? Just a show.
I just want another episode. You want another episode? OK, maybe just what? Was there something unanswered that you didn't know?
Just want more. OK. And as, and I wanted to say is more of like. No, we just we cussed three times.
That's OK. Just yeah, that's fine. I mean, he's not there. It's not enough.
It's not super bad. Anyway, I'm also trying to talk about it. Oh, yeah. So there's something I actually want to talk about.
That was actually kind of good, but also kind of goofy. Is it Deirdre Con? No, it's not. Con is actually I forgot about the other like the last pro I wanted to mention.
So I got the pro anicon pro. OK, so basically Daredevil is the only do wearing a costume. And everyone else is kind of like just there. Yeah, that kind of threw me off.
It was just kind of okay with it. It was I was okay with it was. But he just seemed like he was at one dude who wanted to cosplay. Right.
Everyone else was like, what are you doing here? He's like, Oh, come on, go. I said the email right here. But he had that he looked really out of place, but he looked really cool.
And I like how he was a big, like, Daredevil's back. Like whenever that guy shows, like I like the note here, like Matt Murdock was interrogating so on the other guy in the hand, when the chair was tied up spoiler alert, and he brings out the brings out his Kali sticks and iron fist. Aaron Fist and Luke Cage have his dialogue. Like that's so cool.
And I and Luke Cage is like, it's not that cool. Kind of like yeah, it's pretty cool. I mean, like I just forgot how amazing that outfit of his is like. It's really, really cool.
And I just kind of wish like. And I do like the fact how they answered that. I like how they answered the how he got the suit, where the suit was made, how it was made, when it was made, what's how much care I think I like season one. It was like, it's a really good origin show.
Yes. It's really good and carefully crafted. It was like, if you're a comic book nerd and you read comic books and you like Daredevil and Marvel season one is basically man without fear. Yeah, Frank Miller book, right?
Just without Elektra spoiler alert. You get a lot of season two, but quite literally panel for panel, like almost word for word scene for scene. Daredevil season one on Netflix and man without fear, basically parallel. I never really.
I mean, I saw like, I didn't know how much a parallel. But they're basically. I never read man without fear. I've always wanted to and man without fear.
You do not get the suit until afterwards. And even then he says, I don't even know what the suit looks like. So that's why when you see there's a there's a panel where he's jumping off of like building pops, you see the different designs of Daredevil, like coming up until the very last like up in your face, Daredevil suit. And that's the Daredevil suit that we know and love.
That's the one that takes up the most space on the panel. Of course, when you're jumping off the building, you know, the funny thing is before we go talk about suits, just one of the two, like 10 seconds. I love that yellow suit. He does in the old school with the old school, yellow suit.
I was pretty cool. I like how it's like a wrestler. Like that's what he motifed it off. And it's just so beautiful.
Uh huh. It does look pretty cool. Like, you know, he's not read like a devil. Like I like how it's a yellow.
Like for some reason it just works better. I feel like I feel like yellow is a little bit more menacing than red. Yeah. Yeah.
Do you want someone dressed up like yellow coming after you? Like that would just terrify me. Like you're the banana dude just come after me. Where's red?
It's like, Oh, that's passionate. Oh, he really wants to speed me up. He really wants justice. Right.
I was like, like, like, oh geez. Yellow. So anyway, he looked goofy, but it was kind of cool. And I was also mad.
This isn't a this isn't another one. Luke Cage took out his yellow shirt. I was so mad. He put it on.
No, he took it on and put a black shirt on. My friend, because he got my Netflix just to watch this. He texted me his actual discomfort. He's like Luke Cage had a yellow shirt on and he took it off and put a black shirt on zero out of 10.
Oh, he was super mad. He was like, wow. I was not listening. Mr.
Coulter doesn't like culture. That's his name doesn't excellent jobs. Luke Cage. Oh, he doesn't care the color of the shirt that he's wearing.
But yellow is Luke Cage's color. Yes. Or you know what? If he's if the ultimate's Luke Cage, which is what usually what the footage series I like to call it, so Netflix and Disney's Marvel, the MCU, they're trying to go more with the ultimate version of these characters because they're a little bit more fierce, I should say.
Yeah, the iconicness of the yellow would try on the. And the other color because I go for iconic like Daredevil. That's a good point. But like Jessica Jones, kind of like what's old is new though.
So like, I mean, you know, it's gonna kill me that Luke Cage has a black t-shirt on. He had a black t-shirt on when he was when he was an ultimate in the ultimate universe. I know, but it's like the yellows like that's why I like the colors and those first two episodes when they really had that orgy of color like in the first like when Daredevil was on screen, it was really red when Jessica Jones was in a room. It was a blue on the camera.
Luke Cage, the sun was shining. He had his jacket on zip with a yellow shirt. He's a hero. Harro the Harlem.
Yeah. Everyone's walking and it's just so bright and colorful and yellow. You walk into the house and there's yellow like what about what about yellow? It was just green.
Like it was a green tint. Like he was a green window pane. Like he had like a phone and he was texting in the word bubble with green. Like opening.
So much like there was so much color. Like opening sequence. That's why I hate it when he took the yellow away. Like you're taking away the color because.
Daredevil's wearing red. Iron Fist is still wearing green. She's wearing blue and you're not purpleish. Yeah.
You're not wearing yellow. Like that's what I meant. Like it took away. It took away from the character.
It took away from the individualism is what you're saying that they emphasized. Oh man. So much. You know the hand gestures.
Ladies and gentlemen. Huh. I mean, Italian. They're a little bit.
Yeah. Just I think the only part I've inherited was the hand gestures. Okay. But that's like that's the only that's the only con I really have when it comes to the color.
Okay. The color is like that's what really made me hooked on the show. It's like I actually rewatched the first two episodes just for the color. It's so beautiful.
Like it's like I'm reading a comic book without those goofy like comic transitions like even the old school. Yeah. Like I'm reading I'm watching a comic book out right unfold in front of me. And it's just so beautiful.
Okay. I loved that. Okay. That's why when he takes off that yellow, it's like you're relinquishing what you just built up to episodes prior with a color.
That's why I was like that's why I hated it. And he and my friend and I just crap out of this. Now that you went on that tangent, it makes so much more sense. It makes it make a lot so it's like Daredevil is goofy wearing the only guy in costume because Luke Cage took his off.
He was still wearing denim jeans. So I'm okay with that. What I didn't like was that he when him and Claire got back to his apartment, right? And they left every single door open on their way to the room.
Hey, don't you think someone's gonna come in on you? Right. You think someone's gonna walk in on you? Someone like I don't know Misty Knight to ask and see how you're doing.
Maybe to figure out what's going on in Harlem and seeing what you do to help Harlem. No, don't worry about that. He's got to get his freak on. He's been in prison.
Yes. No one's even come up to say yo. I'm just gonna say yes to that statement. He was in prison.
