We have been called to participate in the work of bringing this vision to life. We trust that God is faithful and will enable us to see the work through. We must not give into our cynicism. We must not give into our despair. We must not stand by passively waiting for somebody, somewhere, to do something. We are the somebody. God has called us. Jesus has shown us. As the old hymn goes: “Must Jesus bear the cross alone and all the world go free? No, there’s a cross for everyone, and there’s a cross for me.” It’s up to us to answer the call. There’s a new world coming to us, but only if we help bring it. I’m Horace McMillon.
