We are Called to Show Tolerance in Love

In an effort to build trust and unity in the hearts of the brethren in the Kingdom of Christ we are called to show tolerance to one another in love.  Loving tolerance is a powerful spiritual tool to keep Christ’s people together and moving on to maturity.  With the love of Christ for the brethren, we are to manifest the tolerance of Christ for those people and circumstances that would inflame and infuriate the man or woman in the flesh.  Brethren, through the Spirit of Christ we are able to not only put up with people and circumstances in the body that are challenging and difficult but we are able to extend mercy and forgiveness and maintain our cool and controlled temper as our Christ does for us.  This morning we will first define the tolerance of our Lord in us and His love that motivates and empowers us to show the tolerance and forbearance that builds trust and union in the Lord’s Church!  Next, we will examine the tolerance demonstrated by our LORD and it also being manifest in the mature Christian man or women.  Finally, we will look at what must not be tolerated in the the church of our King!
