We Are Here

I was inspired by a conversation with Reed in the game Goodbye Volcano High, about what the point of everything is if the world is gonna end. Why do we still care when we know life is temporary, a flash in a pan? Well, I don't know, but I have a song. Sheet music: https://robinsyl.dev/sheets/originals/We%20Are%20Here/ Lyrics And so what if it's all just a dream We still did the best we could And so what if it's all temporary We still lived the life we lived And so what and so what and so what and so what if it's a dream we still had fun And so what if it all ends right now We still had the best of times And so what if it all has no meaning We were there and we had us And so what and so what and so what and so what if it ends now we are right here And so what if we don't leave a mark We still live the here and now And so what if no one knows our faces We still have us in our hearts And so what and so what and so what and so what if it ends now we are right here
