The Temple was the only place on earth where Yahweh's presence came once a year in a small area. This was all of His presence the earth could handle at that time. The Temple has a "trinity" like the Trinity of God and the trinity of man. The physical Temple complex no longer exists, we are now the temple of the presence of God! But a person can become stuck at salvation and never be filled with the Holy Spirit, the Presence of God.
