We Can't Synchronize

Ahh, childhood. For many of us, our early years can be seen as a time when the weight of the world had not yet been hoisted onto our collective shoulders. The days of playgrounds, toys, and the innocence of nursery rhymes. But upon further inspection, underneath those schoolground songs lie dark and morbid tales. Why do so many of these silly numbers revolve around plague, death, and serious injury? This week the DIE Gang examines some notoriously twisted nursery rhymes and the intention behind them, if there was any. We spend inordinate time harping on the dangers of violent media when maybe we should take a closer look at exactly what was happening with Old Mother Hubbard and those poor Three Blind Mice! #deathiseverything #DeathIsEverythingPodcast #DIEwithMarianne #DIEwithMarianneandChris #DIEwithMCA #deathinpsiration #deathpodcast #LApodcast #takingchances #landoftheliving #NurseryRhymes #ButWhy #GreatParenting #ProblematicOldEnglish #TheEndOfInnocence #OddLessonPlan #ThreeBlindMiceForHolloween #ChrisRecountsTheDicemanUnfortunately #Can’tTrustBigEgg #ShrekReferences #ThatPoorDog #MarianneAndChrisAcapella Thanks for listening, Land of the Living!
