We Did It!

from Monday Musings with Kissa · host Kissa - The Notion Mama

Welcome to Monday Musings with Kissa, where I share what the heck happened last week, what I have planned for this week, and a story time, not in that particular order. This is the audio companion to my substec newsletter that I send out every Thursday. So if you’re not already subscribed, there’s a button somewhere here where you can do so, and content as of this recording is currently free. Y’all, we did it. Our last pop-up of the year was last week and we are done with pop-ups for this year. Oh, man, last week just felt like the countdown to this big thing, which it wasn’t really. It was basically the countdown to winter break, but the kids started winter break last Thursday. My bestie is in town for the holiday. Rain is about to hit SoCal on Tuesday, so it just feels like last week was this scramble to maximize and get as much done as we could before this week of transitional rest. So this week, work isn’t officially done just yet. We have one last large order to fulfill. We have online orders to fulfill, and then on the personal side, we’re still working on our backyard project to really finish it up. We’re going to finish the pavers this week, and then we’re going to complete the drainage before the rain, so that it doesn’t flood too much back there. And then the plan is to just enjoy Christmas week with Charlie and the kids, hopefully rest a little and mentally prepare for the new year. Instead of a story time today guys, I just want to tell you how incredibly grateful I am that you’re here. I know I say it every week and there’s a reason. I know that there is so many people you can follow. There’s so many people you can take inspiration from. There’s so many podcasts that you can listen to. And the fact that you chose me is just so meaningful beyond words. This year has been such a big transition for us. Not just in business life, but in personal life too, transitioning into, you know, bigger kid life and what that looks like in the dynamic of what our schedule is. And so I just want to thank you so much for rolling with me this year. And to navigate life together like this has been one of the most rewarding things about this past year. So as we go into 2026, I just want to let you know, I’m going to be taking a short break. I’m going to be back, um, after the New Year, the Monday after Monday. So make sure you stay tuned for that, but I am going to take a week or so off just to recalibrate, start fresh, but turn this Monday musings up a notch a little bit in the upcoming year. Because I want to keep adding value to this community as we create and build it together. So thank you so much. I hope you had a wonderful holiday with your family, with your friends, and your loved ones. I hope that you have a wonderful, wonderful celebration to the new year. Cheers to 2026. Let’s do this together, regardless of what lies ahead before us. And thank you so much for your time. If you enjoyed this audio edition, please share it with a friend.
