We Don’t Talk About…

We talk about grace. We sing about grace. We say we’re saved by grace… But then we start trying to earn it. Galatians 3:1–5 comes swinging with a question: If you began by the Spirit, why are you trying to finish by the flesh? You received Christ by faith. You received the Spirit by faith. God began the work by faith. So when did Christianity become a checklist of things we have to do to keep God impressed? Works have their place. Obedience matters. Holiness matters. But none of them purchased your salvation. Jesus did. We love talking about what we’re doing for God… Maybe it’s time we talked about what God has already done for us.
