臺灣客家庄有「四月八送蟲蟻」習俗，人們掃地清除螞蟻與害蟲，甚至在新竹縣北埔近郊的水磜(客語 suiˋ zai)社區還有舉行打水磜儀式。長輩手持竹棒敲擊磜槽，節奏宛如田野音樂會，將水潑向家門和屋角，象徵性地將不安、穢氣與厄運送出家門，寓意家宅潔淨，也象徵將一整年的隱憂送走。並且還會製作艾粄，送走蟲蟻。 -- Hosting provided by SoundOn
