We Must Decrease So Jesus Can Increase

Dionne delivered a sermon titled "We Must Decrease So Jesus Can Increase," focusing on the biblical example of John the Baptist and the importance of humility in ministry. She discussed how John never claimed to be the Messiah but rather served as a witness to Jesus, emphasizing that followers of Christ must similarly decrease their own significance to allow Jesus's light to shine brighter. The sermon covered key biblical passages including John 1, Matthew 3, and Acts 2, highlighting the importance of baptism and the Holy Spirit in the Christian faith. Dionne also addressed contemporary issues like fear, offenses, and forgiveness, connecting them to the biblical principle of humility and witness-bearing.
