We need a revolution in motherhood: here's why with Beth Berry

from The Motherkind Podcast

This week’s guest says we can’t afford to pretend to love motherhood. Not this version of it. The version that has us raising our kids alone in our homes, disconnected from one another, immersed in a culture of judgement and perfectionism under the allusion that we are the ones who can’t get our act together. Beth Berry is a coach, author of Motherwhelmed and mother to four daughters. This episode is a call to arms to start taking your needs seriously. We just can’t keep giving and giving to our paid and unpaid work as mothers and carers and not expect ourselves to get burnt out and resentful. And, ending up, of course, adoring our children, but hating our day-to-day lives. I really hope this episode gives you the fire you need to start giving yourself even a small amount of what you give outwards. If there is someone in your life who you think can benefit from this wisdom, please do share it across your favourite social media platforms. Let’s get this incredible information to as many mothers as we can. As always, we continue the conversation over on Instagram, so come and join us there.
