We need to reward the heroes, so good folks like this TN Trooper keep signing up for law enforcement
from G. Edward Martin Podcast · host G. Edward Martin
The other day, I drove by a TN State Trooper changing a tire for a young lady on a busy highway. The Trooper not only used his lights to protect them, but he was on his hands and knees getting the tire switched out to get this lady back home safely to her family. I have seen similar instances numerous times; however, we never seem to talk about it. Law enforcement officers protect and serve every day, and seem to rarely get credit for being the subtle heroes in our community-- often acting as paramedics, crossing guards, therapists/social workers, mechanics, and helping people to find their lost pets from time to time. Although there are some bad cops, the majority are good and honest people who deserve a tremendous amount of credit. If we want the good ones to stay on the force and the next generation to keep signing up, we need to give credit to the heroes and have honest conversations about the realities of the job. Be thoughtful, be decent, think it over.My books: https://www.amazon.com/stores/G-Edward-Martin/author/B0BVCFRTM2?ref=ap_rdr&isDramIntegrated=true&shoppingPortalEnabled=trueMy Website: https://edwardmartinbooks.com/Signed books, podcast T-Shirts, and art prints: https://www.etsy.com/shop/GEdwardMartinAuthor mindset coaching: https://www.patreon.com/c/g_edwardmartin#police #lawenforcement #america #philosophy #americanlife
