With the A-League Grand Final approaching between Sydney and Auckland FC, I made the critical mistake of daring to say that I don’t like the league as much as I used to. I pointed out the horrendous TV deal, the lack of public discourse and declining attendances. Most of you agreed. A handful, however, were highly offended, and pointed the finger squarely at me for the decline of the Australian game. Forgive me, I prefer the Premier League. I guess that makes me a proud Eurosnob.
