We on Go!!!

A movie needs more than good references. Cody liked the Resident Evil details that echoed the games, but felt the humor undercut the horror. For him, callbacks work best when they strengthen a film’s mood rather than distract from it. Personal values shape what you’re willing to recommend. Cody couldn’t endorse Resident Evil because its repeated use of God’s name conflicted with his Christian beliefs, even though he appreciated some of its horror elements. Strong concepts can still fall flat in execution. Cody praised Robert Pattinson’s performance in Primetime, but thought the movie lost momentum and felt stretched. He also questioned whether its story was more concerned with ratings than with its stated purpose. Franchises need to stay connected to their defining characters. Cody hopes Clayface includes Batman and imagines a darker, more frightening take on the character. He also argues that a menacing Darth Vader story could give Star Wars a compelling new direction. Making the playoffs isn’t the finish line. Cody is excited the Padres clinched a playoff spot, but hopes the team keeps pushing toward a World Series rather than treating qualification as the goal. Small acts of kindness can make a real difference. Cody closes by encouraging listeners to notice when someone is tired or struggling and offer practical help—a coffee, a meal, or another simple gesture.
