We React to Ghost In The Shell Ep. 6 (INSANE!)

🔥 GHOST IN THE SHELL EPISODE 6: DUMB BARTER --HAS MAJOR GONE TOO FAR?! Ghost in the Shell Episode 6, "Dumb Barter," gives us another visually stunning chapter from Science SARU — but this time, the biggest problem might not be the government corruption. It might be MOTOKO KUSANAGI herself. In this episode review and anime podcast, we break down Major's increasingly twisted behavior, including her decision to let Section 9 believe she was critically injured just to win a bet. We also dive into Togu Soma's revenge, his history with Major, and the disturbing moral questions surrounding what Motoko has done in the past. But there's a bigger issue developing with this adaptation: HOW MANY TIMES CAN GHOST IN THE SHELL REPEAT THE GOVERNMENT CORRUPTION STORY? We've now seen corruption, government manipulation, exploitation, hacking, and political conspiracies repeatedly throughout the series. Is "Dumb Barter" finally showing us the limitations of this formula? Or are these recurring themes building toward something bigger? We also compare the series to GHOST IN THE SHELL: STAND ALONE COMPLEX, discuss whether faithfully following the original manga is becoming a double-edged sword, and ask the biggest question facing this 10-episode adaptation: 👉 CAN GHOST IN THE SHELL DELIVER THE STORY DEPTH FANS EXPECT BEFORE THE SEASON ENDS? And of course, we have to talk about the animation. Science SARU continues to deliver some absolutely incredible visuals — but can amazing animation make up for questionable storytelling? 💬 WHAT DID YOU THINK OF GHOST IN THE SHELL EPISODE 6? Is Major becoming one of the most interesting characters in the series, or has the show taken her too far? And are you enjoying the story despite its flaws?
