We Taking All Our Stuff Back

When I began preaching in Truth & Life Urban Ministry I said, We are de-colonizing our faith. The dilemma was once I emptied it, what do I fill it with? We fill it with Africa. There are so many things that were stolen from our Hebraic and African traditions. The plight of many black people and people of color is identity, dignity, and significance. The western Christian church hasn't made it any better. Through ignorance we have vilified and demonized our African and Hebraic traditions. Items such as stones, crystals, and the Anhk we have come to demonize by ignorance. Other religions have taken up our forsaken items of significance and claimed them as their own. Not only has this been for items of identity and significance, but they've stolen the dignity behind them as well. The whitewashing of Christianity is more than just the kidnapping of people, culture, and religion. It is a kidnapping of minds and giving people amnesia. Once indoctrinated and re-programmed you fight the people and things you come from. We are seeking to rectify and stop this insidious genocide of black people and people of color. We are taking back all our stuff and all of our people!
