Our study today is found in 1 Samuel 13. In this study, we step right into a high-stakes moment where King Saul faces a massive crisis. With a giant enemy army closing in, his own men fleeing to hide in caves, and his time running out, Saul becomes increasingly impatient.  and makes choices based on fear instead of faith.If nothing else, our text 1 exposes a sobering truth: taking matters into our own hands always comes with a hidden, devastating cost. In the end, the questions we’ll be forced to answer are: Where do we run when panic sets in, and how do we stop putting our need for control over faithful obedience?
