Most people—especially politicians—would probably jump straight to financial security, health, or taking out their rivals. Right after stepping into the massive shoes of his father David, young Solomon gets an offer straight out of that storytelling trope. God meets him in a dream with zero conditions: "Ask whatever you wish, and I’ll give it to you." But instead of cashing in on personal fortune or military dominance, Solomon asks for something far rarer: an understanding mind—a "listening heart"—to help him lead fairly and seek justice.
