We Were Hunted by Something Terrifying in the Woods — Backwoods Creature Horror

A backwoods camping trip turns into a hunt when an enormous, dog-snouted creature stalks two friends at their clifftop campsite. Michael Kelso’s “We Were Hunted by Something Terrifying in the Woods” follows Adrian and the narrator from a familiar climbing route toward a cave with evidence of earlier victims. The beast knows these woods, and reaching a friend in trouble means entering its territory. This wilderness survival story makes every rope, cliff edge and distant engine sound matter.
