The word “Disciple” means “a learner.” It is one who is the student of a discipline or teaching. It also means to be “an adherent.” A disciple is doing more than learning a teaching, he is adhering to the teaching he is learning by actively living it out. It is in the commitment to live it out that a man pays the cost of true discipleship.
