Weaker Vessels

In this episode we have an open conversation about 1 Peter 3:7 and the mention specifically of women being the weaker vessel in the home. For a long time this mention has brought quarrels and debates forth between men and women. We believe the main purpose of this passage is to activate the mission of men which is to protect and care for their wives. Strength under control is what we're talking about here, and the righteous utilization of our qualities as men to prop up our families and be like Christ in the process. It's important we discuss the dynamic because for the duration of civilization, men have been tempted to abuse the strength disparity between them and women. We have held physical strength, financial solvency, and other characteristics over women's heads without regard for their equality with us in light of God's promises. It's time for men to pick up the mantle of authority with gentleness and humility like Jesus did so that we can see society go in the direction of that which pleases the LORD.
