Tropical moisture pools along the boundary will triggershowers and thunderstorms with heavy rain over parts of extremesoutheastern Virginia, most of central/eastern North Carolina, andnortheastern South Carolina. Therefore, the WPC has issued a Slight Risk(level 2/4) of excessive rainfall over parts of the southern Mid-Atlanticthrough Sunday morning.  The associated heavy rain will create mainlylocalized areas of flash flooding, with urban areas, roads, small streams,and low-lying areas the most vulnerable.On Sunday, the lingering front and tropical moisture will produce showersand thunderstorms with heavy rain over parts of eastern North Carolina,eastern South Carolina, and extreme eastern Georgia. Therefore, the WPChas issued a Slight Risk (level 2/4) of excessive rainfall over parts ofthe southern Mid-Atlantic from Sunday through Monday morning.  Theassociated heavy rain will create mainly localized areas of flashflooding, with urban areas, roads, small streams, and low-lying areas themost vulnerable.
