This week's guest is Dr. Pam Heinselman, a research meteorologist at the NOAA National Severe Storms Laboratory. She is part of the Doppler Radar and Remote Sensing Group. She is a graduate of St. Louis University. She also got her Masters there and her PhD from the University of Oklahoma. Her research interests are warning and forecast applications of weather radars, with an emphasis on phased array radar. Our guest panelist is Owen Shieh, a graduate of Cornell University. He will be attending the University of Hawaii in the fall, where he will be working on his doctorate in meteorology. He recently had a paper published in BAMS about the local minima of tropical cyclones in the eastern Caribbean.
