Webinar #108 Dr Sunil Raheja - The Wonder of Wisdom

from ICMDA Recordings · host ICMDA

Recorded on 16 June 2022 for ICMDA Webinars. Dr Peter Saunders chairs a discussion with Dr Sunil Raheja. We all have an innate often unrecognised hunger for wisdom and are naturally curious about life. However, this can lead us to look for answers in unhealthy ways. Biblical wisdom draws us to focus on God as the source of all wisdom. Reflecting on the three Old Testament books of Proverbs, Ecclesiastes and Job we will explore the rich subtleties of how we are called to live. The right way to live is centred on our relationship with Christ, from whom all wisdom flows. Dr Sunil Raheja has worked as a psychiatrist for over 25 years. He lives in London, England with his wife, Sally. They have four grown children. Sunil is a psychiatrist and coach who equips overwhelmed, frustrated and distracted high achievers to figure out their next best step so that they can create the life they hunger for and still have time for family, friends and fun. He also has a podcast and YouTube channel based on the theme of his book, ‘Dancing With Wisdom’ alongside his private practice. Song Against Songs, The by G. K. Chesterton (1874 - 1936) LibriVox LibriVox volunteers bring you 9 recordings of The Song Against Songs by G. K. Chesterton. This was the Fortnightly Poetry project for October 16, 2011.Chesterton was a large man, standing 6 feet 4 inches (1.93 m) and weighing around 21 stone (130 kg; 290 lb). His girth gave rise to a famous anecdote. During World War I a lady in London asked why he was not 'out at the Front'; he replied, 'If you go round to the side, you will see that I am.' On another occasion he remarked to his friend George Bernard Shaw: "To look at you, anyone would think a famine had struck England". Shaw retorted, "To look at you, anyone would think you have caused it". P. G. Wodehouse once described a very loud crash as "a sound like Chesterton falling onto a sheet of tin."( Summary from Wikipedia ) Summer 2011 | Public lectures and events | Video London School of Economics and Political Science Video files from LSE's summer 2011 programme of public lectures and events, for more recordings and pdf documents see the corresponding audio collection.
