WEBINAR: Israel and the Gulf: How has the war affected regional security?

The memorandum between the United States and Iran has not fully moved the conflict from war to diplomacy. Instead, the Strait of Hormuz has become the flashpoint where disputes over the agreement’s implementation are playing out through military pressure. Iran claims it maintains operational oversight of Hormuz, while the United States is pushing for unrestricted commercial navigation. In this ACLED webinar, analysts examine Israeli and Gulf threat perceptions, how regional actors view the negotiations, and what the memorandum could mean for security in the months ahead.Speakers: Sherwan Hindreen Ali, Middle East Research Manager at ACLED.Nasser Khdour, Middle East Assistant Research Manager at ACLED.Moderator: Daniel Herrera KellyThis episode is an audio recording of an ACLED webinar featuring expert analysis and discussion of conflict trends and developments around the world.  For more from ACLED, visit ACLEDdata.comAI-generated audio is used for ACLED report narrations only.
