TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF. St. Augustine says that "our heart is restless until it rests in God." At Ash Wednesday God invites us to a life of rest, peace and fulfilment through reconciliation with Him. The flesh is but dust and shall certainly return to dust. The soul, which is the life force animating the body/flesh, shall return to God at the end of our earthly life. It's only when we're truly reconciled with God and live in full communion with Him that we find the peace, rest and fulfilment that we seek.
