Wed. May 10th, 2023 Homily by FadaPeterBenson: STAY CONNECTED TO JESUS, THE TRUE VINE.

TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF. Jesus Christ is the true vine; the source and sustenance of our being. We're His branches. We're to stay connected to Him by living in and according to His Word. The Psalmist describes God's Word thus: "Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path" (cf. Psalm 119:105). To bear much fruits, we must further allow the discipline of having God prune us for the scripture says; "and you have forgotten that word of encouragement that addresses you as sons: "My son, do not make light of the Lord's discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you, because the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes everyone he accepts as a son." (cf. Heb. 12:5-6).
