2 Thessalonians - Encourage U Part 20 (Last Message) I. Faithfulness, regardless of circumstance, separates true believers from the lost. II. Unity tells the lost that the Kingdom of God is real and worth being a part of. III. Everlasting Judgment is coming to those who oppose God. 2 Thess. 1:11 Is it truly following Christ, if we only do it in our convenience? Is it truly following Christ, if we only do it in our comfort? Is it truly following Christ, if we only do it in our calling? I. We should daily strive for our lives to be deemed worthy of God's calling. Rom 6:13 2 Thess. 1:11 James 1:17 2 Peter 1:3-4 II. We can experience unique blessings in struggles because of faithfulness. 2 Thess. 1:11 2 Cor 9:8 2 Thess. 1:12 III. We should be focused on Christ being glorified through our work of faith and faithfulness. -What does our faith and faithfulness, or lack thereof, say to unbelievers around us? -What does it say to unbelievers about a God who can't seem to get His own people to show up (without fail) for a worship service that is about Him? -What does it say to unbelievers about a relationship His people say they have with Him that isn't worth telling other people about? -What does it say to unbelievers about a gospel that supposedly changes lives, but isn't worth giving to to get it around the world?
