1 John - Sermon 2 1 John 1:5 Rev. 21:23-24 If sin brings death, then it's deadly. No amount, or type, is defined. Rom. 6:23 Rom. 3:23 Prov 20:6 Is. 64:6a Rom. 3:10 James 1:13 (ESV) To be in light is to be void of darkness. How can darkness make itself light? How can something that is dirty clean itself? 2 Cor 13:5 1 John 1:6-7 Eph. 5:8-15 1 John 1:8-10 Two important truths: 1. There is only one way to be clean and forgiven and that's through confession. 2. We CAN be forgiven and clean. Righteousness paid unrighteousness's debt.
