Here's the news: - Our friends of the Perch Place are hosting a Mindfulness Walk from 9 am to noon on Saturday, October 1st. This is to celebrate 5 years of business and will be a great day for families and children. You'll walk around Downtown Aurora doing a variety of fun and mindful activities. When you complete all the activities and turn in your card, you'll be entered to win a raffle basket! Plus, you'll enjoy coffee and refreshments, and you'll get a bag of goodies (including coupons from other local businesses) just for registering! Registration is $19 per adult. Children are free and do not need to register. (Children do not get a bag of goodies but do get a special kid activity card.) Registration is required, this will take place at Gail Borden Public Library in Elgin. Staff from the circuit clerk's office will be on hand to answer questions and for assistance. A multi-generational conversation about trauma; Let’s Talk About Mental Health & Wellness. This will be from 5 to 8 pm and will feature a book signing with Vee L.
