Wednesday of Holy Week

Today's readings confront us with the reality of suffering and betrayal that mark Jesus' final days. Isaiah speaks of a faithful servant who endures mockery and violence yet trusts in God's vindication. The Gospel reveals Judas arranging his betrayal of Jesus and the somber Last Supper where Jesus announces that one of his closest friends will hand him over.
