Wednesday of the 10th Week of Ordinary Time

Today's readings explore the call to unwavering faithfulness to God alone. We hear how the prophet Elijah challenges the people to choose between the Lord and false gods through a dramatic test on Mount Carmel. Jesus then teaches that he comes not to abolish God's law, but to bring it to perfect fulfillment.
